POSITION TITLE: WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS BUSINESS ANALYST

DEPARTMENT/DIVISION: IT EMEA

REPORTS TO: WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS MANAGER

PURPOSE OF POSITION / MISSION:

To provide systems expertise and logistics experience in implementing processes and procedures that ensure practical and efficient business operations.

To provide ongoing business systems support to the Newell Brands D&T community and associated teams and deliver service desk support as part of the Business Systems – WMS team on Manahttan WMi and related systems such as Manhattan LMS and SEQUEL reporting.

To assist with the implementation of Manhattan WMi as the main Warehouse Management System throughout the Newell Brands EMEA organization. This will usually be as part of a structured implementation team.

The incumbent is involved in planning, organizing and conducting detailed management analytical studies to define problems, identify deficiencies and improve solutions which impact Newell Brands’ operational effectiveness and provide the basis for management decision.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAIN ACTIVITIES:

  • Serve as a WMi consultant to the EMEA organization in resolving business issues, implementing harmonized business processes and systems configuration work.
  • Support and resolve WMi related issues for all Business Units and central functions at or above the agreed service level. This may also include satellite systems such as Manhattan LMS or SEQUEL as agreed with Line Manager.
  • Liaise between the EMEA business and the SAP WM / WMi process & IT teams in the US.
  • Support the development of WRICEF (Workflow, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements and Forms) within Warehouse Management processes.
  • Conduct training sessions to implement new or improved systems and procedures.
  • Conduct meetings with all levels of management for purposes of presentations, progress reviews, approvals of recommendations, etc.
  • Recognize and identifies potential areas where existing business services policies and procedures require change or where new ones need to be developed and make recommendations in these areas.
  • Fulfill the Business Systems team requirements in terms of providing work coverage and administrative notification during periods of personnel illness, vacation, or education.

Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • High level of English speaking and written skills, preferably with another European language.
  • 2 years plus experience in Logistics execution systems with emphasis on Warehouse Management in either an IT or operational function
  • Wide experience of implementing/supporting a WMS or ERP solution in a pan European multi country environment.
  • Methodical, able to take initiative and a lead role in implementing change.
  • Self-motivated who works well with limited supervision.
  • Able to inter-relate with management at all levels.
  • Excellent presentational, communication and report writing skills essential.
  • Ability to provide effective solutions in addition to excellent analysis skills.
  • Prepared to travel at short notice to business locations within the EMEA region.
  • Ability to manage working time efficiently and work to short deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in multi-cultural teams
  • Ability to query and analyse data through tools like MS Excel, SQL etc.
