Your Opportunity


As part of our Wealth Services organization, the Senior Client Service Specialist is a crucial member of an elite team providing high-touch service and on-going support for the wealth management needs of ultra-high net worth clients. In partnership with the Senior Wealth Consultant and Financial Consultant Partner, the Senior Client Relationship Specialist will deliver exceptional service, help to grow and deepen client relationships and support the delivering of planning and advice with the practice clients of the Sr. Wealth Consultant.

The goal for our Sr. Client Services Specialist is to resolve issues through the client’s eyes and strengthen client relationships with Schwab. You will operate in a team-based model partnering with Sr. Wealth Consultants, Financial Consultant Partners, and various departments across the firm through dedicated relationships and independent initiatives.

Specific responsibilities include:

Navigating Schwab:

  • Strong eye for business and understanding of wealth services issues common among UHNW clients as well as a strong network that can be demonstrated to resolve client issues.
  • Providing research to business partners to find solutions for our clients.
  • Assist Wealth Consultants and FCPs with segmentation and client engagement strategy; bring to bear Connect mailings, branch workshops, as well as regional/national events.
  • Handle local event administration including venue identification, scheduling, contract negotiation, invitation creation and attendance confirmation

Case Management:

  • Support the Wealth Services Team in ways that vary in scope and require the Specialist to move quickly between different priorities and sophisticated objectives.
  • Engagement may range from novice to sophisticated investors, family members or professionals on issues such as client service, estate planning, cash management, Schwab platform tools and resources, liquidity, retention, trading and or other wealth management issues.
  • Use key business partners (Partner Support & Pinnacle) to resolve, research, and respond to client inquiries and issues as well as ensure operational tasks are completed.

Resolving Client Issues:

  • De-escalating situations while also understanding a client’s needs.
  • The ability to think creatively and to partner with multiple organizations to come up with mutually beneficial solutions to enhance client relationships.
  • Taking on-the-spot escalations from partners across the firm.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in deepening relationships with clients, from engagement and discovery to gaining commitment and ongoing service.

The ideal candidate will have a high degree of professionalism portraying confidence with clients, internal colleagues, and executives. Through client interactions and a deep empathy and focus on the client experience, Specialists will be expected to uncover ways to improve our internal processes as well as advance trends that are causing the outgoing transfers. You should demonstrate a bias for action, a commitment to achieving sustainable results and good judgment in selecting methods and approaches for finding appropriate solutions for clients

What you have


We place a premium on high performance, quality service and the ability to execute our strategy. Essential skills include:

  • Active and valid FINRA Series 7 required
  • Active and valid FINRA Series 66 required
  • Active and valid FINRA series S9/10 required (may be obtained within a 90 day condition of employment)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Prefer a minimum of 2 years of financial services experience
  • Entrepreneurial and a self-starter mentality
  • Polished and persuasive interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
  • Able to quickly learn new technology and utilize a variety of data and systems
  • Collaborative and relationship-focused work style with demonstrated success in a team-based environment.
  • Open to ongoing coaching and development to achieve positive client outcomes and career aspirations
  • Strong time management skills and productivity; ability to successfully balance competing priorities
