Manager, Design & User Experience Overview: Have a hand in almost every aspect of the product lifecycle, from research, ideation, conceptualization to implementation. Design wireframes, task flows, prototypes and specifications for creating and enhancing the look, feel, experience and functionality of features and services for company products. Work collaboratively and build partnerships with different teams across the organization including marketing, user research, content strategy, product management, and product development in order to effectively problem solve. Give and solicit feedback from designers and cross- disciplinary partners. Communicate and present to key stakeholders regarding user needs and design solutions. Inspire others and be a part of the transformation to continue delivering strong, sustainable growth for our customers and our business.
The Manager, Design & User Experience will help the Product Design team create intuitive and compelling product experiences by removing barriers, evangelizing design thinking, and striking the balance between business objectives and customer needs. You'll play a crucial role in the practice and craft of design through teaching, mentoring, and inspiring a highly skilled team of product designers. This role is responsible for working alongside product teams to explore design concepts, collaborate with developers, understand user needs, and identify usability opportunities, while meeting business objectives. Concepts and ideas will be translated into workable wireframes, user task flow diagrams, and functional design specifications. This role will present these design solutions to key stakeholders for feedback and alignment from initial concept through delivery.

- Drive the evolution of our best practices, design standards, and patterns
- Have a “player/coach” mentality—balancing team leadership (70%) and hands-on product design (30%)

- Determines staffing needs: selection, promotion, development and terminations •Defines and encourages performance expectations
- Often must lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team
- Interprets and implements new procedures and policies•Works on issues of varied scope requiring an understanding of current business trends•Develops and administers team member schedules and performance requirements•Frequently interacts with managers of other departments or functions
- All other related activities as required
Qualification - What will be needed from you in this role:
- 7+ years’ experience designing SaaS products
- 3+ year experience managing and/or mentoring others
- Passion for making high-quality, user-centered web and mobile products and a demonstrable portfolio to prove it
- Experience leading and delivering on full-life-cycle design projects--from design strategy through execution
- Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of user-centered design best practices and agile methodologies•Innovative thinking and a desire to continuously learn and evolve
- Ailitye to influence others to achieve the best outcomes for the business
- Current understanding of design and technology trends in AI and mobile experiences across form factors
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree with an emphasis in Design, HCI, Human Factors, related field, or equivalent experience
