Job Description
BCG DV is partnering with one of Germany’s largest service providers to launch a digital platform that makes it easier for customers to find and book pest control services when they need it most. This new venture will work with high-quality, qualified pest control businesses across Germany and will have a laser-focus on the customer’s experience. Our strategy will allow us to uncover new customers for our service partners, while giving customers the peace of mind they are dealing with qualified service providers and receiving fair, transparent pricing at speed.
This venture will take advantage of a large market opportunity, with fragmented value chains and competitors, while simultaneously benefiting from a proven business model, with significant support from the Corporate Partner. We are now actively hiring the founding team who will have the opportunity to help drive and set strategy and have a direct influence on the culture and working practices of this startup.
What you will do:
- Develop a market leading pest control business with a B2C outlook to scale across Germany.
- Oversee, develop and lead the overall business strategy for the business, and set set the foundations for the commercial success of the venture.
- Build out a team across sales, product management and engineering in order to deliver on the set business strategy.
- Drive day-to-day operations, align resources to achieve key business priorities and proactively mitigate business, operational & governance risks.
- Report updates to the Board of Directors and corporate stakeholders regarding progress on strategic priorities, and collaborate to accelerate progress.
- Leverage our corporate partner’s assets strategically and maximize the ventures unfair advantage.
- Fully own the organisations P&L, with a focus on making strategic decisions that enable continuous innovation and expansions into new viable business opportunities.
- Develop key relationships with business partners in the industry as well as optimise business processes and support functions within the business to ensure excellent service delivery with both business partners and end customers.
What we are looking for:
- 6 - 7 years of working experience, with at least 3 years managing a business or business unit in a larger organisation.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Has had experience building a company from the ground up, in a B2B/B2C environment.
- Has had experience working in a data driven environment, with exposure to working with key metrics such as SEO/SEA to drive key decisions around growth in collaboration with the marketing team.
- Experience working in a marketplace environment would be advantageous.
- Strong stakeholder relationship building capabilities
- Native German speaking proficiency level.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Previous experience in a company that focuses on lead generation would be a distinct advantage.
