THE POSITION

FanDuel is looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to help drive our customer retention and marketing initiatives through automation and technology advancement. You will play a lead role on the Customer Marketing team, with ownership over marketing technology initiatives and automation. An ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of CRM systems / technologies and be an advocate for Martech innovation, evangelizing best practices throughout the company to produce delightful customer experiences and drive business KPIs. You will use your background in CRM and your technical acumen to enable different FanDuel brand verticals to do more with new and existing tools. This is an exciting opportunity to help elevate revenue driving marketing initiatives at a premier gaming company.

Technical Knowledge and Implementation

  • Lead customer marketing innovation by unlocking opportunities for automation using technology (Braze, Knime, CDP)
  • Be a resource for others as a systems expert, sharing extensive knowledge of our marketing technology stack (Braze, Knime, CDP) and our data sources
  • Strategize around how we could use new and existing data to better enable the customer marketing team and create automations
  • Recommend where campaign execution can be made more efficient through automation or implementation of a new feature, and play a lead role in setting up new marketing automations
  • Use APIs and other data transfer methods to automate marketing campaigns end-to-end and do campaign personalization at scale using Movable Ink
  • Partner with relevant teams on the creation, testing and deployment of assets used in automations and campaigns with advanced personalization
  • Understand the breadth of customer marketing communications we send, and take all programs and channels into account when thinking through new campaigns to implement

Program Management

  • Contribute to the planning and development of a marketing technology roadmap that accomplishes set business goals
  • Cultivate collaborative and productive relationships with product and engineering teams
  • Evaluate capabilities of new and existing vendors, and lead new tool implementations alongside our Product Development and engineering teams, Marketing Director and Vice President
  • Track usage on owned platforms, project needs for future contract periods and lead contract renewal discussions
  • Present roadmap and program updates to groups of business stakeholders and C-suite management

Team Development

  • Oversee the creation of documentation for owned projects to facilitate knowledge sharing
  • Create and document new team processes for deploying campaigns and technology launches
  • Manage a team of one or more direct reports
  • Identify, develop and grow top talent within the customer marketing organization
  • Create an inspiring environment for direct reports to learn and advance

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in email and/or mobile marketing, with experience creating and managing Marketing campaigns from start to finish
  • Minimum 2 years of management or mentorship experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience preferred
  • Proven experience with marketing communications and personalization tools (e.g. Braze and Movable Ink)
  • Experience working with Customer Data Platform Technologies (e.g. Segment, mParticle, Tealium)
  • Demonstrated expertise in database structures and data transfer methods (e.g. ETL, API)
  • Demonstrated expertise in multi-channel marketing and understanding of compliance considerations for each (CAN-SPAM, double opt-ins, etc)
  • Experience working with product and engineering teams on executing a development roadmap
  • Expert knowledge of CRM platform metrics
  • Comfortable with querying and logic (SQL knowledge a plus)
  • Proficient in coding emails in HTML and CSS
  • Proven experience creating business cases and influencing product roadmaps
  • Has a positive attitude and loves opportunities to collaborate with others
  • Strong organizational skills and effective at project management
  • An avid sports and gaming fan, and have played FanDuel or competitive products preferred
