Job Description

Description:The RMS Global Sustainment (GS) Project Engineering Manager will be leading the Sikorsky Ground Support Equipment group. The position will be responsible for GSE requirements definition, GSE Selection and for Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE); the design, development, procurement, and testing for all Sikorsky Programs. In addition, the position will support new business capture, growth of existing programs, proposals, and new budget (Basis of Estimate – (BOE)) for the Sikorsky Line of Business. The candidate will also perform all HR responsibilities for the management of the Sikorsky GSE team.
Specific task requirements include:
- Direct, lead, coach and mentor a broad team of engineering individual contributors.
- Ensure full customer satisfaction through on time delivery of all GSE Products including SERDs, Specifications, CDRLs, Supplier and Procurement Packages, GSE, PSE, Common Hand Tools, Proposals and other Contractually Required Products
- Work independent of direct leadership supervision on teams to resolve issues.
- Represent Supportability program strategies and concepts design criteria to various internal and external leaders, technical, programmatic and product development teams.
- Interface with a variety of internal LM and external Government, engineering, logistics, financial and program management disciplines.
- Develop Pro-active approaches to sustain continuous process improvement in existing GSE Program processes and provide briefings to internal and external leadership representatives
- Provide subject matter expertise to Supportability Engineering, Affordability Analysis, Obsolescence Management concept development program trade studies, proposal, capture, execution and/or trouble shooting teams.
- Interact directly with and advise internal LM and Government senior leadership representatives to resolve Supportability program issues.
- Deliver presentations and briefings to DoD customers and LM executives, drive projects to successful conclusions, and communicate seamlessly with peers, direct reports, and management.
- Collaborate seamlessly with GS Operations teammates and counterparts across RMS (horizontal integration) as a single COE in support of business and program objectives.
- Responsible and accountable for all projects assigned to the organizational unit, including proposal staffing. Ensure all personnel, administrative, and business initiative tasks are completed on schedule, while communicating effectively with management and direct reports.
- Provide performance evaluations, career growth guidance, mentoring, and employee development. Approve travel and time reporting. Coordinate tasks with individual skill sets and sustain optimal group performance.
Basic Qualifications:
To be qualified to interview for this role, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
- Demonstrated Sustainment or Supportability Engineering experience on development and sustainment programs for military customers
- Experience in representing supportability program strategies and concepts design criteria to various internal and external leaders, technical, programmatic and product development teams.
- Program, Project, or Functional Management experience
- EVMS/Cost Account Management experience
- Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leader skills
- Proven Presentation and Communication skills
- Self-starter with demonstrated communication skills & ability to work in a deadline driven environment and manage timely completion of competing priorities.

- Additionally, any roles requiring Department of Defense Security Clearances will require US Citizenship.

- Personnel management.
- Knowledge of HR management processes, systems and tools.
