Who We Are

Boston Consulting Group partners with leaders in business and society to tackle their most important challenges and capture their greatest opportunities. BCG was the pioneer in business strategy when it was founded in 1963. Today, we work closely with clients to embrace a transformational approach aimed at benefiting all stakeholders—empowering organizations to grow, build sustainable competitive advantage, and drive positive societal impact.
Our diverse, global teams bring deep industry and functional expertise and a range of perspectives that question the status quo and spark change. BCG delivers solutions through leading-edge management consulting, technology and design, and corporate and digital ventures. We work in a uniquely collaborative model across the firm and throughout all levels of the client organization, fueled by the goal of helping our clients thrive and enabling them to make the world a better place.

Practice Area Profile

The Global Advantage is one of BCG's core functional practice areas with a unique commercial offering and a long tradition of cutting-edge thought leadership. Being at the crossroads of emerging and mature markets, we work with our clients to unlock unparalleled business opportunities offered by globalization while mastering the challenges of disruption. We help clients not only build sizable international footprints but also maximize their potential in the face of global disruptive forces such as rapidly changing markets, geopolitical environment, rising local competitors as well as shifting customer behavior and preferences. In our daily work, we enable our clients to transform their organization in order to win globally.

What You'll Do

The Boston Consulting Group The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is a global management consulting firm and the world's leading advisor on business strategy. We partner with clients from the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors in all regions to identify their highest-value opportunities, address their most critical challenges, and transform their enterprises. Our customised approach combines deep insight into the dynamics of companies and markets with close collaboration at all levels of the client organisation. This ensures that our clients achieve sustainable competitive advantage, build more capable organisations, and secure lasting results. Founded in 1963, BCG is a private company with more than 90 offices in 50 countries. Global Advantage Unlocking growth in emerging markets is a big piece of the globalization puzzle. One of the biggest levers companies have that can dramatically change their position in the market is developing a stellar go-to-market approach. The sheer magnitude of the opportunity and dynamism at play in emerging markets means a one-size-fits-all approach is not adequate. Companies need to take a de-averaged approach in their go-to-market activities. Getting it right is a major source of competitive advantage. Building best-in-class go-to-market strategies requires a concerted and systematic effort given the challenges on the ground. Expert Career Track (ECT) The individual will be aligned to our Expert Career Track (ECT). Expertise is of vital importance to BCG and our clients. Our clients expect BCG to help tailor solutions to their specific needs. Increasingly, clients expect us to bring deep industry and functional expertise to the table. Our continued investments in knowledge and expertise have been a critically important driver of our success. The growth and development of the ECT cohort is a core component of these investments. The ECT cohort is a valuable complement to the generalist track, and helps BCG to provide expertise depth that our generalist track does not cover or ordinarily develop. The Track enables individuals to bring significant value to BCG with significant operational or technical experience in a specific field, usually gained outside of BCG either in industry, academia or specialised consulting.
