Infoblox is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join our Cyber Intelligence Unit - Quality Engineering team in Austin, TX, or Tacoma, WA. In this role, you will ensure continuous improvement through your deep expertise in networking, cloud, automation development, test methodologies, and customer focus. This position is for an engineer who likes challenges and is continuously striving to improve product quality and customer satisfaction. You will report to Senior Manager, Software Engineering in Tacoma, WA.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop maintainable test automation frameworks, tools, and automated test suites
  • Define test strategy for new product features
  • Write detailed test plans for assigned features to include manual and automated tests
  • Execute test plan and report on progress against plan
  • Participate in requirements, design, test strategy, test plan, and test automation reviews
  • Automate test cases using Python/Perl/Shell
  • Work with the Development team and proactively escalate any critical functionality issue
  • Setup Regression suites, run performance tests, and review results
  • Identify, track bugs throughout testing and produce
  • Attend regular scrum, prioritize and plan QA testing
  • Always looking out for opportunities to modernize the test automation framework to support effective continuous deployment

What you’ll bring:

  • 6+ years of experience in testing and releasing complex software products
  • Experience with API testing SoapUI/Postman/APIgee
  • Experience with open-source test tools Selenium/JUnit/JMeter
  • Web-based SaaS UI Applications, Restful services, Docker/Containers, Kubernetes, Prometheus
  • Experience with testing applications in a microservices architecture
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (EC2, VPC, S3, API Gateway, EMR, ECS etc.)
  • Development of automation and harness design (UI, System, API)
  • Experience with version control software Git/Svn
  • Experience with CICD tools Jenkins or Spinnaker
  • Highly proficient in scripting languages (Python)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; must be an excellent team-player
  • Willingness to stretch and achieve aggressive milestones
  • Experience in Data Science toolkit Python/Scala/Spark is a plus
  • Experience in Testing batch Big data processing is a plus
  • Background in Networking, DNS/DHCP protocols is a plus
  • MS/M.tech or BS/B.tech in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience required

What success looks like:
After six months, you will...

  • Learn about Infoblox’s Data Lake and ETL pipelines
  • Develop initial test harness framework & automation platforms
  • Write initial test suites for manual & automated testing
  • Ramp in triage and debug domains for the Data Lake and ETL pipelines
After about a year, you will...
  • Create and deploy test harnesses for automated test execution
  • Run automated test suites and deliver reports on the results
  • Work with other test engineers to lead test suite development
  • Drive improved quality in the data lake with innovative test strategies
