Our Clinical Research and Pharmacovigilance team push the boundaries of global healthcare through research and innovation. Through clinical trials and surveillance, we ensure the safety and efficacy of our existing and pipeline products to produce safe, effective, innovative medicine.

The Senior Content Steward is responsible for operations of structured content management (SCM) tools supporting structure content authoring, structured content management, and document management. This position supports developing, implementing, and managing structured content authoring processes and standards to support all clinical regulatory writing portfolios, working with some guidance and oversight to achieve goals.

Responsibilities of the Senior Content Operations Steward may include but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrate understanding of data content standards and support use of SCM in regulatory documents
  • Acquire an in-depth knowledge of document templates, styles, and content
  • Facilitate content mapping during document development
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert on Structured Content tools and interfaces.
  • Support the end user on implementation, usage and troubleshooting especially integration of tables, figures and listings.
  • Interact cross-functionally to ensure downstream activity requirements are supported such as publishing
  • Support the creation of structured content models and templates, developing an understanding of content relationships to facilitate identification of content, content behaviors, structure, conditions, variables, information policies, and reuse policies
  • Support the governance of content models, templates, variables, libraries, metadata, and reuse policies
  • Contribute to tool development cycles including requirements, functional specifications and user acceptance testing
  • Manage and update communications to users via multiple communication channels such as question and answer boards, reference web sites, user manuals, training videos, company social media
  • Contribute to or lead continuous process improvement initiatives

Education/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s level degree in science, engineering, computer science, analytics or related discipline.
  • Understanding of modelling and content mapping. Some experience in technology development, system architecture. Some experience in digital transformation. Some experience in medical writing and/or clinical operations within pharmaceutical, biotech, clinical research, or related environment is preferred.

Additional skills and experience:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and project management; project application of Agile methodology preferred. High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to excellence in all aspects of work
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Complete fluency in reading and writing American English
