Broker Dealer Integration Technology Services (BITS) organization is looking for a Software Development Engineers in Test to work on Schwab’s TDA Integration Program. This position requires 6+ years of QA experience. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with strong problem-solving skills who can contribute in a highly collaborative culture and Agile team environment.

The successful candidate will have a track record of success and passion for leading End to End Projects, working with cross Functional teams and experience in working on large scale integration programs. Our engineers are driven to learn, grow, and continuously contribute to evolving the Schwab experience and technology.

What you are good at


  • Responsible for ensuring QA delivery, Status Reporting, Test Plans, Test Cases, Scripts, Results, Test Readiness Reviews, post-implementation Reviews. Where appropriate review and approve test plans ensuring alignment with standards and Governance
  • Drive best practices for continuous improvement.
  • Experience working with resources in different geographical locations and offshore vendors.
  • Working knowledge of Agile, Iterative development process is essential
  • Collaborate with technology, business and platform teams to architect testing solutions to meet business needs.
  • Partner with the Test Environment team during test execution.
  • Lead test case walkthrough reviews, Co-ordination of Test Execution (End-to-End) with various Application/ Domains involved, coordination with Offshore.
  • Log and track open defects to closure, follow up with Development, Architecture and Test Managers to report those defects
  • Lead defect Triage meetings with multiple domains and Report status/issues to Leadership
  • Ability to work with Cross Functional teams

What you have


  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field
  • 3-6 years of working as QA engineer with hands on application testing and/or test automation / framework in an Agile development environment
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) to partner technically with Application Architects, Development, QA/Testing organizations and Business teams
  • Working knowledge of Agile, Iterative development process
  • Understanding of the key terminologies of performance testing like SLA’S, KPI’s correlation, throughput, response time, baseline, stress test, etc.
  • Familiar with JMETER which is being developed and actively managed by Apache.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in UI automation using Sauce labs, Selenium or any other open source automation tools
  • Database testing using Relational Database like Oracle and IBM Db2 and non-relational database like MongoDB
  • Experience with CI /CD tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, Zephyr, Bit Bucket
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies, Collaboration Tools (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Knowledge of C#, NET, Java or other programming languages.
  • Knowledge about various test method and corresponding tools like MS Test, NUnit, TestNG, Selenium WebDriver
  • Summarize test results and present to Leadership

Desired

  • Acceptance test-driven development (ATDD) or Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using Gherkin languages like Cucumber
  • Experience testing applications running on Cloud environment
