Could you be our next Property Manager?

With new restaurant openings contributing to 2-3% of the Australian business growth each year, our National Development Group (NDG) plays an integral role in finding, evaluating and acquiring freehold and leasehold properties across the nation.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a self-motivated Property Manager to support the Asset Manager and broader Development Team to protect and grow the McDonald’s Real Estate portfolio, through managing day to day property management tasks to assisting with lease options, strategic management reporting, 24-hour trade applications and landlord approvals.

What can you expect to be doing on a day-to-day basis?

  • Proactively manage the day to day property management tasks
  • Build and nurture Lessor relationships
  • Seek Lessor approvals for Reinvestment works
  • Review and preparation of internal advice on Lease issues
  • Investigate and challenge Portfolio occupancy costs
  • Participation in Body Corporates/Community Associations
  • Lead the review and challenge of Land Tax assessments
  • Management of Excess properties and Tenant relationships
  • Proactive management of OH&S Issues
  • Address general issues and inquiries from key stakeholders
  • Preparation of the departments report’s for Lease Critical Dates

Experience essentials:

  • Degree in Real Estate, Property Economics or similar
  • 3+ years’ experience within a similar retail role or the commercial property market
  • Demonstrated understanding of commercial lease terminology and applicable legislation in QLD
  • Strong in communication skills-both written and verbal. Able to help stakeholders understand important information (which is sometimes technical)
  • Strong in interpersonal skills and ability to build strong reciprocal relationships
  • Knowledgeable and has an understanding of Freehold and Leasehold Property Administration
  • A strategic thinker who sees the big picture with ability to make good decisions based on available information and Company priorities
  • Organised, methodical and able to effective manage and prioritise multiple complex matters at once.
  • Ethical and responsible, understands and adheres to McDonald’s Standards of Business Conduct always, and role models integrity to others.
