Role
Splunk is searching for a Senior Director, AMER Marketing with a consistent track record of leading successful marketing teams and strategies aligned to sales priorities and review targets. You should be comfortable with changing priorities and responsibilities. Splunk is a young, fast-growing company with a passion for building great technology and having some fun along the way. In this role, you'll have a direct impact on the success of our Americas sales and GTM organization. As our organization changes and grows, you’ll lead the way in developing programs to help generate new pipeline and accelerate adoption in existing customer accounts, while driving new logo acquisition. This is a great opportunity for a sharp, eager Regional Marketer leader interested in jumping on board with one of the fastest-growing companies in the Big Data space. This role has high executive visibility and an opportunity for growth within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Build regional plan aligned to sales priorities that represent the entire marketing portfolio including pipeline generation, marketing impacted revenue, brand awareness, press coverage, digital marketing, etc.
- Lead integrated marketing programs to drive pipeline growth and customer loyalty with customer and prospect organizations. Programs include Splunk led events, regional sponsorships, executive events, hands-on workshops, digital marketing, integrated campaigns, Account-Based Marketing and more to showcase customer success and demonstrate the value of Splunk to support new customer acquisition and expansion.
- Understand the segment-specific trends from Strategic Accounts thought to a Commercial segment focused on transactional velocity and new logos. Demonstrate the ability to customize programs and apply a wide range of marketing tactics as needed.
- Act as the “CMO of the region” to communicate all marketing plans, activities and report program results consistently to senior sales and executive stakeholders
- Track program results, measure program success, and report metrics via SFDC, analytics tools and presentations to regional AVP and sales teams
- Cross collaborate with other marketing channels – partner marketing, online, social, press, customer references, and others to integrate field programs into customer buyer’s journey
- Develop strategic plans mapped to sales priorities and goals
- Manage partner marketing strategy (channel/reseller, technology alliances, and system integrators) and execute marketing programs with strategic partners.
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years Marketing or Field Marketing Experience
- Minimum 10 years marketing in B2B software
- 10 years proven experience, effectively managing geographically dispersed teams across the Americas region
- Be an “all-rounder” with understanding and experience of the complete mix of marketing tactics that you can apply, using sales language, to key stakeholders
- Passion for learning, passion for new and emerging technology trends
- Proven experience developing strong relationships with Senior Sales Leadership
- Used Salesforce.com to create campaigns and track program performance
- Created crafty, compelling content, with a good eye for editing and proofreading
- Used Eloqua or similar software to execute email programs and track effectiveness
- Can hit aggressive deadlines while delivering high-quality work
- Written and spoken communication that is clear and concise
- Manage to budget
- Proven experience in leading successful Marketing organization across Americas for enterprise software/cloud vendors
