Job Description:

We are looking for a world-class, strategically minded, results focused individual who sets the agenda at all levels and brings a track record of success. As the Director for Performance Marketing you will embody a growth mindset while having a substantial budget to work with to drive repeatable and scalable results across multiple organic & paid channels. Reporting to our VP, Growth Marketing you will spearhead both strategy and execution to optimize a massive marketing budget against company goals.

Our ideal candidate will have broad visibility across the business as well as the global HelloFresh Community – and will collaborate daily with peers in Growth, Brand, Creative, Product, Finance, and Analytics. This is a high performance/high impact role driving incredible growth at HelloFresh working across the Growth Organization.

You will...

  • Lead the customer acquisition strategy, and establish best-in-class practices across paid and organic digital channels such as paid social, search, SEO, programmatic, affiliate, video, Native within a direct response environment
  • Build, lead, and develop a team of highly-capable growth marketers, while contributing to our authentic, inclusive, and performance-driven culture
  • Utilize data-driven methodology, analysis, and measurement to improve effectiveness and efficiency of our performance channels
  • Oversee campaign management and reporting, including in-depth analytics of LTV, CPA, ROI, and incrementality
  • Manage the testing framework and feedback loop for the brand team to continuously iterate on creative assets, and execute experiments and conversion tests to improve LTV/CAC ratios
  • Have a passion for innovation, as well as tenacity for owning the end-to-end customer acquisition funnel, collaborating across multiple functions and driving business results for both the short and long term
  • Operate a continuous improvement service delivery model to increase portfolio and channel efficiencies for delivery
  • Partner with internal teams to optimize campaign performance; e.g. Creative, BI, Digital Product, etc.—(targeting, optimization, creative direction, etc.)
  • Collaborate with Data Science to develop tooling, automation, and new measurement methodologies, improve measurement rigor, and optimize performance

  • Strong analytical skills; able to use data to optimize day-to-day performance and run split testing campaigns.

At a minimum, you have...

  • A bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record and/or proven relevant experience in a performance marketing or highly commercial role.
  • 10+ years of experience directly managing marketing campaigns at $15M+ annual budget client or agency side
  • Expert knowledge of SEM/SEO and generic online channels as well as web & app tracking setup and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of advertising and marketing technology.
  • Experience working with online ad platforms like Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Snapchat Business Manager, TikTok Ads Manager etc.
  • 4+ years of experience managing direct reports
  • Solid understanding of testing approaches including A/B tests as well as incrementality tests
  • Substantial experience working with performance marketing metrics (CPM, CPI, CPA, CPC & LTV)
  • Experience with subscription products, LTV and multi-touch attribution a plus
