What we're looking for:

You are a Lead Sales Operations Analyst with at least 6 years of sales operations experience. You will support the worldwide Sales and Services Operations Business Partners with the global standardization of business processes and the development of dashboards and tools to efficiently distribute information across the Sales and Service Organization.

Position Summary:

As the Lead Sales Operations Analyst, you will provide analysis and decision support for the planning, analysis and reporting function for worldwide Sales and Services, including providing the Sales and Services organizations with monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and analysis that can be utilized as the basis for making informed decisions about their business. You will also perform analysis and planning activities for operations including pipeline, bookings, revenue forecasting, revenue reporting, sales productivity, install base, customer segmentation, goal attainment and services KPIs.

The Lead analyst will be able to document data findings, provide details, and present findings with recommendations to management. You will create or enhance the running of reports and automate each as necessary. This position involves creation and maintenance of complex spreadsheets and the ability to create tableau reports or presentations from the results. This includes driving automation of standard reports, heavy data analysis and research, with the ability to manipulate, analyze, and trend the results. In addition, you will also create new methods of communicating financial and operational analysis and reporting to assist the greater executive management team in understanding their business.

The Lead Reporting and Analytics Analyst is also responsible for supporting tools and solutions to provide and automate reports, business metrics and KPIs' for use by the Sales and Services

Operations organization using a combination of Sales and Services operations business acumen and technical knowledge. Regularly interacts with IT with current strategic projects as well as, scalability and engages with management team to prioritize strategic initiatives, projects and goals.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities

  • Work closely with worldwide Sales & Service stakeholders to turn business requirements into analytical output such as reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Use advanced methodologies to gather, model, and transform data from various sources across the business.
  • Use advanced dashboarding methodologies to highlight business trends that can be consumed at all levels of the business. From front-line sales mangers to executive management team.
  • Provide input for complex Sales & Services KPI and QBR presentations.
  • Facilitate post-quarter end process which includes Sales and Services Summary notes for senior management and executive presentations.
  • Identify, develop and articulate compelling qualitative and quantitative business cases for metrics and reporting that are not currently measured and will add value to the Sales or Services organizations.
  • Assists Sales and Services leadership team with quarterly MBO tracking
  • Continually works to identify new opportunities to provide valuable metrics to the business and Senior Management team.
  • Effectively translate business requirements into high-level design documentation and provide feedback on requirements submitted by team members. In addition, consults on Business Requirements documentation sessions.
  • Collaborate internally to analyze and test the accuracy of data sets and conduct data mining.
  • May reconcile various complex reports and interact with Finance and technical personnel supporting operations.
  • Evaluate existing business processes and systems to identify gaps and opportunities for streamlining.
  • Participate and may lead project teams and requirements gathering and analysis for strategic projects as needed. Determine potential impact to data and systems resulting from projects, enhancements, and production support.
  • Drives quarterly close processes for range of responsibility
  • Run daily, monthly and quarterly reports from enterprise resource planning system and reconciles against sales and reports final bookings
  • Perform analysis of bookings, revenue, gross margin, forecast rollups, pipeline, and trending.
  • Creates monthly and quarterly forecast and progression presentation for senior management.
  • Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests and prioritizes against competing efforts.
  • Manage and defines system and user acceptance testing and best practices.
  • Anticipates and escalates data needs and required system changes.
  • Conducts in-depth impact / what-if analysis of business process as well as systematic changes. Perform in-depth data analysis and provide recommendations for resolution for data integrity issues.
  • Manage own time and deadlines appropriately. Accurately determine task duration and dependencies for own assignments. Communicate status updates to manager on a regular basis.
  • Supports the effective use of our corporate CRM systems to raise salesforce productivity and compliance with maintenance standards is within targets
  • Attends local management meetings on a regular basis to provide updates on relevant Sales & Services Operations initiatives and developments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Sales Operations, Business Operations, Finance Operations or Marketing Operations for a worldwide business to business organization. Preferably an Enterprise software, hardware, or services organization.
  • Experience using Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, MicroStrategy, etc.) to build interactive visual dashboards is required. Working knowledge in Tableau is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SQL required.
  • Knowledge of sales systems such Salesforce preferred
  • Experience with data mining concepts desired.
  • Expert Excel user with ability to automate Reports (Pivots, Vlookups, Macros)
  • Advanced problem solving and analytical skills of highly complex reporting and metrics scenarios.
  • Highly motivated individual that is able to work independently, as well as participate on team projects.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to complete assignments given aggressive time constraints with high quality level
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in quantitative sciences (e.g., Statistics, Engineering, Information Systems or comparable).
  • Acts as a primary contact for sales and services issues and KPIs
  • Acts as a business leader to Sales and Service Ops organization and ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements
  • Attends management meetings on a regular basis to provide updates on relevant Sales & Services Operations initiatives and developments.
  • Ensures the implementation and compliance of all developed reports

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires deep knowledge of job area obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • Viewed as having a specialty within discipline. May have broad knowledge of project management.
  • Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience; or Master’s degree with 6 years; or PhD with 3 years of experience
