Job Description
MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
As a project management expert and a member of the Marketing support function, the NPI & Strategic Marketing Planning Manager will work with cross functional teams to lead & drive all the activities associated with transferring products from manufacturing to Vietnam affiliate for total product portfolio.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Together with local marketing, MI and area teams, conduct market research to understand consumer attitude & behavior to identify local insights to guide portfolio expansion through New Product Introductions (NPI).
- Provide thought leadership to marketing team to establish NPI strategy for both short term & long term, for total product portfolio.
- Understand and execute Abbott NPI process, in coordination with area (PPMO, Regulatory, Marketing, Strategic Labels Group) and affiliate (Marketing, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Finance) to introduce planned NPIs ahead of time, to deliver incremental innovation sales KPI for affiliate
- Engage area teams (PPMO, Regulatory, Marketing, Strategic Label Group (SLG)) to maximize their resources to drive the speed of NPI projects to meet local changing consumers’ needs/market.
- Analyze & anticipate potential risks, that impact the NPI speed/execution, and proactively work with the team to propose solutions to eliminate it.
- Co-ordinate with brand team, SLG, RA, PPMO to develop label designs for NPI projects. Make sure the labels are compliant to Abbott policy & Regulatory context.
- Responsible for NPI budget and monthly gaiting.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coach & engage NPI executive to build strong NPI capability & future leadership position.
MINIMUM BACKGROUND/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum Experience of 6-8 years
- Related in Marketing & NPI with expertise at Project Management.
- Worked with reputed MNC organizations.
- Needs to have handled Consumer research in the past.
- Proven track record for designing, implementing and tracking impact of NPI strategy, plan execution.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Self-starter, aggressive for constant improvements
- Capable of timely and fast, accurate deliverables
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree or above in Business or Marketing degree with MBA strongly preferred
