Role Overview:

This person will be supporting the Macrolink VSL team in all activities associated with the pursuit, order, capture, and execution of existing and future programs. Initial emphasis is operationally focused on field returns, working in conjunction with program managers. The remaining focus will be on supporting the program execution teams with activities such as: metrics data collection and reporting, roadmap development and reporting, manage customer returned goods, support execution of burndown plan, interface with internal/external stakeholders on improvement plans, contribute in gate reviews and execution meetings to ensure output plans support customer demand/sales and are aligned to the Macrolink sales plans, and all levels of coordination with the core program team. This person’s work will be driven by VSLs in the Mission Systems Microlink team.

The ideal candidate would have a thorough understanding of MRP processes associated with order entry, status of factory hardware delivery forecasts, and shipping of multiple products aggregated and delivered as a system. It would be helpful to have familiarity with Collins Management System Process and capability of supporting the Program Managers in the generation of the Gate artifacts, data analysis for sales forecasts, ensuring resources such as engineering, engineering support, production, services, facilities, etc. are available for the program. This position coordinates activities across the RTX shared business model and requires collaborative working relationships with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Contracts, Order Administration, Subcontracts, Quality, Finance, and Services and will require external customer interface. External customer interface contacts are typically first level program management, engineering, maintenance, and procurement agents.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that program plans, schedules and budgets are followed.
  • Gathers data to monitor program’s progress in terms of cost, schedule, and technical specifications.
  • Prepares plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the program(s).
  • Demonstrates continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality.
  • Identifies program problems and supports resolutions to ensure the successful completion of programs.
  • Partners with functional organizations to achieve alignment with customer program objectives.
  • Coordinates the negotiation, proposals, business plans, budgets and contracts for programs.
  • Establishes cost focused performance targets and directs work to achieve these targets.
  • Persistence – Dealing with cross-enterprise coordination on obsolete components requires the ability to be tenacious to get the answers needed to make decisions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires theoretical to advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through University Degree combined with experience.
    Practical knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work. Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience. Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience tracking and forecasting Customer Repairs and coordinating with order administration
  • Prior SAP experience relative to order entry, hardware product tracking, or shipping
  • Prior experience working with Master Schedulers for hardware demand planning
  • Current active DoD secret security clearance
