Your Opportunity
The Senior Manager, Organizational Design and Talent Insights supports the design and implementation of enterprise-wide organizational design and effectiveness efforts which includes organizational design consultations, talent assessment selection and utilization, and engagement and culture. In this role, you will work and collaborate with business leaders and HR Business Partners to craft and enable effective organizations.
What you are good at
- Partner with managers and senior leaders to understand their strategy and design/re-design sustainable organizational structures that will support their vision and move the business forward
- Evaluate existing structures and make recommendations to HR Business Partners and business leaders on organization structure alternatives that support their strategy and increase their organizational efficiency
- Stay on top of emerging roles and organizational structure standard methodologies and integrate principles and guidelines, where appropriate, to improve span of control and ensure appropriate layers within the organization
- Build strong, reciprocal relationships with HRBPs. Share standard methodologies, partner on solutions, and move the organizations forward together.
- Push leaders to think strategically in order to effectively transform organizations
- Develop business acuity across Schwab to be able to provide thought leadership and maintain consistency in organizational structures across the firm
- Build tools and resources that the business and HR partners can use as guidelines to support their Organizational Design efforts such as job aids, playbooks, etc.
- Understanding and evaluating talent assessments and their appropriate uses
- Coach leaders using a variety of assessment tools (Hogan, Gallup Strengths, etc.)
- Develop talent analytics dashboards and presentations to advise data-based decisions
- Perform ad-hoc and standard analysis, external/internal research on standard methodologies and reporting to support team efforts
- Participate in cross-functional human resources projects as needed (i.e. job architecture initiatives, initiatives related to retention, culture, employee engagement and value proposition, etc.)
What you have
- A minimum of 10 years in an Organization Development, HR Consulting or Strategic Human Resources Business Partner role for a large organization
- Strong business acuity with financial services or banking experience preferred
- Ability to influence without authority using strong consultation and facilitation skills
- Ability to work under tight target dates; plan, prioritize and carry out multiple, detailed tasks with limited supervision
- Good judgment to know when and how to mentor senior leaders on organizational efficiency and design
- Knowledge and understanding of competitive organization design principles, methodology, process and tools
- Knowledge and understanding of talent selection and evaluation assessments and their valid uses
- Experience supporting organizational change initiatives required for implementing new or refreshed organization design/development principles
- Project management experience with demonstrated ability to plan and supervise the delivery of projects, anticipate appropriate resources, ensure quality, professional work and maintain high standards
- Strong customer orientation and ability to work reciprocally with team members, across functions and business/functional groups
- Well-developed interactive and presentation skills in order to provide detailed explanations and interpretation of factual and conceptual information
- Ability to anticipate obstacles, think on the fly and be prepared with contingency plans
- Graduate degree preferred in Human Resources, I/O Psychology or other related field
- Hogan Coaching certification preferred
Colorado Compensation
Target Total Compensation - 84,200 - 145,800.
