This is a rich opportunity to be part of the Oncology franchise at Lilly Australia and ensure a flawless launch of a transformative new treatment within the Oncology space and ensure strong uptake within NSW/VIC/QLD/SA/WA. We are specifically looking for experienced customer-facing Oncology sales professionals to take our Oncology team to the next level!

Keys to your success will be your ability to engage and build meaningful customer relationships, demonstrate in-depth Scientific and Clinical expertise of your product and disease state, and leverage your strong business ownership to align the needs of your customers with that of the business, in an evolving competitive landscape.

This role will report directly to the Commercial Manager, Oncology and will have close interaction with the cross-functional team supporting the Oncology business such as Marketing and Medical.

It is an expectation of this role that there would be travel involved to service thought-leaders, to target customers and to attend business meetings. The role will involve some evening & weekend work attending company and industry meetings.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES & ACCOUNTABILTIES

Sales responsibilities:

  • Understand customer needs through proficient use of Value Based Selling and Institutional Selling
  • High level of scientific/clinical knowledge is required in order to provide approved disease & therapeutic solutions (e.g. approved product information and patient education) to key decision makers and stakeholders
  • Understand and clearly communicate product and clinical material with credibility and confidence and ensure your clinical expertise remains current and in line with company requirements
  • Develop and successfully execute your Territory Business Plan (which will include plans for your assigned hospital accounts and the HCPs and account stakeholders within these accounts)
  • Plan and implement programs within the territory to create awareness and drive adoption during product launch. These will be multi-channel programs including face to face and virtual/interactions (as determined appropriate)
  • Ensure financial and commercial analysis of the territory is effective and appropriate
  • Manage the territory to maintain profitability
  • Implementation, evaluation and timely feedback of Marketing strategy
  • Participate in field-based Sales training activities to ensure robust understanding of Lilly’s customer engagement and communication policies and procedures
  • Appropriately utilize TL360, Veeva, CLIVE, and other internal tools and systems to understand evolving customer behaviors/preferences and to track performance (e.g., Adoption Ladder status, eP2P and P2P participation, sales trends, etc.)
  • Operate with high integrity with customers at all times, including adherence to the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct and Lilly’s internal ethical processes and policies

The products and territories may change from time to time depending on business needs. Current portfolio is Oncology with focused attention to launch product. The territory is for NSW/VIC/QLD/SA/WA.

Qualifications:

Tertiary Qualifications in Science, Business, Nursing or related discipline is essential.

Prior Knowledge or Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience and strong success in an Oncology Sales or other Specialty role with similar complexity in Pharma industry is preferable.
  • Previous selling experience in a clinical/hospital setting is preferable.
  • Sound knowledge of the Oncology environment & customer base is preferable.
