Job Description

The Mintel Marketing Intelligence team sits within Mintel’s Advisory group, tasked with solving complex strategic problems for Mintel’s clients. The Marketing Intelligence team uses advertising data, creatives, and their best practices acumen to help our clients be prescriptive about brand and marketing strategy. This could be anything from dissecting a clients’ competitive landscape, recommending how they should launch a new product, or analyzing innovative ways they can position their products to stand out in crowded categories.

Our goal is to turn projects from one-off revenue into reoccurring, renewable custom engagements. A Marketing Intelligence Strategy Manager on our team must have a restless curiosity about the world, the ability to pivot on a dime, a commercial mind that is always thinking end-game, and a confidence that they can be the most creative person in the room.

The right candidate will be able to concept complete solutions for our clients, and execute that work in a way that will drive business for our clients, and spur future consultative engagements with our Advisory and Insights teams. You will have the opportunity to shape and scale the direction of our Marketing Intelligence team offering, and will manage the onboarding of these larger scale projects to ensure success from kickoff to renewal.

You will need to have 8-10 years of experience in experience in advertising, strategy, brand planning, and competitive intelligence, ideally within an agency environment. You should be able to demonstrate skills in critical thinking, be effective presenting to high-level executives, display poise under pressure, and be able to seamlessly shift from high altitude thinking to the tangible and practical.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Lead the full lifecycle of marketing intelligence projects from pitching to proposing to execution.
  • Identify growth strategies to turn one-off projects into ongoing, retained relationships.
  • Write research briefs and lead the internal and external kickoff of all multi-phase Marketing Intelligence project work
  • Serve as the go-to contact for ideation, QC, and enhancement with the client and Insights team
  • Serve as the bridge between Mintel’s Advisory and Insights team
  • Collaborate with a highly motivated team of client-facing account managers and consultants to develop commercial opportunities for premium marketing intelligence services.
  • Collaborate with other Advisory and Insights personal to ensure multi-deliverable projects are set up for growth and retention.
