BAESystems has an exciting opportunity for an experienced technical professional supportingthe US Navy AEGIS Technical Representative’s (TECHREP) Foreign Military Sales (FMS)Programs. The selected individual will provide on-site direction, oversight,and support in the testing and validation of AEGIS weapon and combat system computerprograms. BAE Systems supports the AEGIS TECHREP by providing leadership at theContractor's facility to oversee the engineering, development, integration,test and evaluation, and production of AEGIS Weapon System (AWS) and AEGISCombat System (ACS) equipment and computer programs. For over 40[HJL(1] years, BAE Systems has served as the trusted agent to provide Independent Verificationand Validation (IV&V) of US Navy, BMD, & FMS Combat System Development.
Theselected candidate will act as Baseline Coordinator for FMS baselines providingEngineering and Technical support on assigned programs (including but notlimited to: Japan, Spain, Norway, Korea, Australia, Saudi Arabia, and Canada)to the US Navy’s AEGIS TECHREP. The selected candidate will join an integratedteam of talented engineers and technologists dedicated to providing independentquality assessment support in the developmental of computer programs criticalto the defense of the United States and Foreign Military Sales Partners.
Theselected candidate will be responsible for working closely with the AEGISTECHREP Government community and industry partners to coordinate testscheduling, document reviews, test execution, provide and brief analysisfindings, perform requirements management, participate and lead meetings, andreport generation in support of successful development and integration ofComputer Programs to meet Certification.
• Prepareand coordinate plans and schedules for new or current Foreign Military Salesprograms
• Determine,monitor, and review program schedules and manpower requirements
• Analyzeeffects of projects upon various areas such as Engineering, Test &Evaluation, and Logistics to determine support requirements and obtain therequired resources
• Resolveprogram support and preparation problems and assesse the progress againstestablished plans and parameters as well as Releasability policy and procedures
• EmbraceModel Based Engineering principles set forth by the Systems Engineering Team
• Applytechnical and engineering principles in performing work in the FMS arearequiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteriaproviding, support to our customer and management of support provided bySubject Matter Experts
• ApplyFMS Design review and Development processes, methods, and philosophy andparticipate with Engineers in the review of specifications in coordination ofDevelopment and Integration efforts.
• Providesupport through review of design documentation for Major Milestone Reviews,development processes, integration testing, and acceptance of computer programsand specifications
• Assistthe US Navy TECHREP in generating project plans and assumptions for financialforecasting based on program deliverables
Candidatemust possess excellent oral and written skills and be able to workindependently when required. Generally,work hours are standard, but occasionally some second and/or third shift hourswill be required. Little or no travel isexpected, but willingness to travel in support of emergent customer needs isrequired.
