Job Description
Position Purpose:
The Intermediate Business Analyst within the Identity and Access Management Program is responsible for requirement activities on medium enhancements and projects. The role demonstrates solid knowledge and ability, and conducts business analysis, with minimal or no guidance, in the full range of typical situations. The role is responsible for execution of all aspects of requirements delivery- planning, elicitation, analysis and documentation, management, and support
Knowledge and Experience:
- Relevant college, university, and/or post-graduate degree in Business Analysis
- Certified Business Analysis Professional or Project Management Institute Professional in Business Analysis Certification (PMI-PBA) – Preferred.
- 2+ years work experience as a business systems analyst.
- Proven experience in project delivery methodologies such as Waterfall, Iterative, and/or Agile
- Experience in small to medium development projects or maintenance projects.
- Experience in requirements planning and prioritization including stakeholder analysis and effort estimation.
- Intermediate skills in BA techniques such as scope modelling, use cases and scenarios, data requirements, business rules analysis and decision making, user interface design, user stories including story decomposition and story mapping, acceptance and evaluation criteria definition.
- Knowledge in providing support for systems design, implementation and testing.
- Familiarization with estimating business analysis work and providing cost/benefit/risk analysis.
- Requirements management and communication – requirements walkthroughs; scope and change management; traceability; configuration management, Backlog Management

Key Accountabilities:
- Perform requirements stakeholder analysis to identify impacted or influencing groups and stakeholder requirements responsibilities
- Develop plans and accurate estimates for completion of requirements, continuously improving the level of detail and accuracy of estimates
- Lead 1:1 elicitation sessions and apply various techniques to get a more in-depth understanding of problem-domain and prepare requirements drafts
- Verify requirements for quality and validate requirements with the impacted stakeholders
- Build and maintain a repository of reusable requirements documentation to support future initiatives, following enterprise standards
- Prepare requirements for review applying various communication techniques and lead requirements walkthrough and sign off sessions
- Facilitate collaborative sessions with small to medium number of business stakeholders to drive requirements discovery, analysis, and review
- Define and develop detailed business requirements while identifying, tracking and resolving business systems issues
- Assess, research, analyze and document sponsor/stakeholder needs in accordance with Project Life Cycle utilizing reporting tools, requirements gathering methodologies, process models, data models and prototypes
- Recommend business solutions that satisfy sponsor/stakeholder needs continually exploring and assessing options for value-add for clients
- Work with Project Manager to identify tasks and scheduling
- Work closely with or delegate assignments to other members of the immediate workgroup
- Support the development of end-user documentation and training Support Design and Development activities by providing requirements clarifications
- Support UAT and PIV activities such as planning, defect triage, and root-cause analysis for requirements-related issues
- Support the consistency of standards and adhere to enterprise requirements methodology within own BA Team
- Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members and stakeholders
- Continually enhance skills and build knowledge in all aspects of the organization and within the business analysis domain
