What is the opportunity?
As the Senior Analyst Equities Derivatives, you will be responsible for support, maintenance, testing and requirements collection of technology solutions for Global Market Business - Equity Derivatives. You will work in coordination with global developers, quants and other project stakeholders to deliver a stable technology platform. The technology solutions include, but are not limited to, workflow automation, pricing, risk management, and market access/execution technologies.
What will you do?
- Key member of support team that provides application support, trouble-shooting assistance, deployment/checkouts, application builds and tactical enhancements to existing in-house and third-party technology solutions used by trading/sales/operations/functions personnel.
- Active participation in various phases of Software Development Lifecycle (requirements gathering, analysis, prototyping, design, development, testing, deployment, user training, documentation and support) to implement robust technology solutions for improving scalability and reducing operational risks of Global Market front office technology infrastructure
- Application support, enhancements, and troubleshooting assistance of in-house systems and third-party applications.
- Assist with user adoption of technology solutions developed globally by assisting with user training and liaising with relevant technology/operations personnel to improve overall user experience.
- Prioritize tasks, escalate issues appropriately and follow through with relevant teams to resolution.
- Lead and contribute to team success by helping business generate additional revenues, providing innovative solutions and improving operational efficiency
- Proactively identify operational risks/ control deficiencies in the business
- Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to equity derivatives business activities
- Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks that are identified to the line manager and the relevant risk and control functions promptly

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Experience working with a derivatives desk supporting and testing applications such as trade capture, structuring, pricing, risk management, or execution systems
- Minimum 5 years experience in Excel VBA/VSTO and Agile development in a trading floor environment
- Minimum 5 years experience working in Windows and LINUX/UNIX environments building and maintaining scripts – VB, Perl, Python, etc.
- Strong product knowledge across all global market products, FI/FX/Equity Derivatives
- Experience supporting EMS/OMS (RealTick/Horizon) flows into global equities/warrants/option markets
- Experience supporting electronic trading system in FI/FX/Equity Derivatives
- Experience supporting Pricing/Risk system in FI/FX/Equity Derivatives
- Bloomberg/Reuters and Solace use familiarity
- Experience in supporting Equity Options pricing/quote and client technology – FINIQ/Contineo
- Expertise in Spreadsheet development and implementing tactical solutions
- Solid understanding of the fundamentals of GUI development interfacing with proprietary and third-party applications
Nice-to-have
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field from a reputed institution. Advanced qualifications in finance are highly desirable
