Proposal & Presentation Specialist, Sales

6 month contract

Overview

Today at Weedmaps, Sales Reps and Client Success Reps are responsible for creating their own proposals and performance review presentations. We have embarked on a journey to standardize and systematize those presentations by creating templates embedded with best practices and high standards of design. You will help accelerate that journey through building out those templates. Success is providing the Sales organization with the information, content, expertise, and tools to help the team sell more effectively. For the most important and complex presentations, we would want you to go beyond designing the templates by actually producing the presentations in partnership with the managers and reps. To execute this journey, we will need to build operations and processes which you will help improve.

The impact you'll make:

  • Creating simple and complex proposal presentation templates that the sales team can utilize.
  • Creating and keep current a library of boilerplate content for proposals and performance reviews.
  • Creating proposals and presentations, plus a housing and distribution plan for materials.
  • Customizing proposals and presentations for the most sought-after, strategic or large new business pursuits, including project managing production schedule, liaising with operations and sales teams, formulating theme and messaging, writing or editing content, designing and packaging.
  • Building parameters for what proposals and presentations utilize templates versus receive customization and a desired production timeline, working with internal constituents to build consensus.
  • Training new and existing sales team members on how to use the proposal system and work with leadership to ensure compliance in quality and messaging.
  • Collaborating with Marketing and Sales.
  • Ensuring brand consistency across all materials.
  • Attending company training as required.
  • Performing any additional duties as assigned.
  • Coordinate and maintain team documentation efforts for responses to large deals, custom proposals, and RFPs.
  • Analyze requirements and ensure that proposals meet requirements.
  • Coordinate status meetings and draft/final reviews.
  • Facilitate the proposal review process.
  • Guiding production of the final draft.
  • Create and maintain documentation: modernize content, content repository update, document version management.
  • Work to ensure all bid response objectives and processes are improved with efficiency and productivity in mind.

What you've accomplished:

  • Minimum of 3 years of marketing support for business development / sales by writing proposals and presentations
  • Work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment with the ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a decentralized team environment remotely with team members outside of home office
  • Well-organized, extremely detail oriented and self-starter
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent grammatical, proofreading and editing abilities
  • Intermediate graphic design principles and experience translating ideas into visual graphics
  • Ability to handle proprietary and confidential information
  • Reliable, dependable, and punctual
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
