Our Project Services organization supports Schwab business goals through the delivery of projects spanning technology, operations, business continuity, and offshore management. This opportunity plays in integral role in achieving these outcomes by ensuring an optimized project delivery organization.

What you are good at


Project Managers are responsible for leading cross-functional strategic initiatives. They lead a variety of different types of projects in all aspects of Schwab’s business. In this role, you will play a key part in optimizing and delivering a wide variety of key internal processes: staff recruitment; onboarding and provisioning; contract staff recruitment and contingent workforce program management; data management and analytics; customizing and delivery of org. culture initiatives, such as deploying org. survey and assessments, Diversity and Inclusion, Engagement practices, team building, and communications.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the centralized contractor recruitment process including phone screens, interview scheduling, feedback and logistics, so there is efficiency and consistency in meeting project resourcing needs
  • Identify solutions and make recommendations to continually improve processes in areas of responsibility to maximize efficiency and improve outcomes
  • Onboarding of all new hires including contractor project onboarding
  • Manage the execution of contractor tracking, performance feedback processes, and develop and run organizational reporting
  • Deliver staffing reporting to maximize business operations including maintenance of data integrity
  • Conduct roundtables and community/ engagement activities
  • Manage relationship with Contingent Workforce Program and vendor internal account management staff
  • Provide support for delivery of organizational engagement and retention programs including diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives
  • Participate in content development and implementation of organizational learning programs
  • If needed, may provide backup project support by developing project plans, budgets, and facilitating project meetings, or other project management duties as assigned.

What you have


  • 3-5 years project management or program support experience, developing content and delivering against a set of project or program deliverables with emphasis on execution of program components and supporting program content development, optimization, and reporting
  • Direct experience building reporting to meet business requirements, managing data sets, and running reports in specified platforms
  • Experience in recruitment and selection processes to build and manage a robust talent pipeline and hire qualified candidates
  • Direct experience mobilizing and motivating teams; set direction and approach; facilitate conflict resolution; identifies/understand drivers, root cause; seeking guidance or escalating when needed
  • Proven ability to build a strong partnership and trust with Project Managers and Directors within the organization
  • Ability to navigate a matrixed organization effectively
  • Business savvy and technical acumen necessary to deliver solutions that drive efficiency and scale
  • Ability to communicate with clarity and precision both written and verbally
  • Focused and versatile team player that is comfortable under pressure
  • Demonstrated, applied experience establishing and delivering results
  • Detailed oriented
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Experience and understanding in the use of project management tools

In addition, ideal candidates will also have the following desired qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience supporting HR and talent programs
  • Background experience in financial services industry
  • Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
