More specifically, we are interested in using digital technologies to improve the health outcomes of those using our products and are formalizing our ecosystem of capabilities to orchestrate personalized engagement to Patients with Diabetes (PwD). The Analytics Consultant will influence the data and insights strategy and will be accountable for capability readiness, and operational execution of identified capabilities across our ecosystem. This role will lead activities spanning insight planning, generation and dissemination, model creation, and linking insights to actions to drive increased engagement and optimizing Customer Experience. Coupling our medicines, devices, and digital solutions with consumer health solutions and health systems, we believe we can partner with providers and payers to enable significant improvements in health outcomes for our customers.

Position Responsibilities

  • Overall analytics accountability from ideation through delivery and optimization
  • Lead analytics strategy and analytics use case prioritization for various focus areas as needed
  • Collaborate with CC&I functions to prioritize insight generation and action
  • Oversee analytics and insights execution; serve as lead for analytics feature set
  • Oversee analytics capability delivery via agile methodologies; collaborate closely with LCCI for execution
  • Lead analytics operations for the CC&I including reporting, impact measurement, partner closely with Lilly IDS contributors and integration operations teams
  • Communicate insights and educate organizational stakeholders on analytical capabilities and concepts
  • The Connected Care – Analytics Consultant will report to the Data & Insights COO Advisor – Connected Care & Insulins.

Key Objectives

  • Oversee the end-to-end analytics processes for CC&I Focus Areas
    • Lead problem identification and analytics formulation to address business questions and patient engagement needs; actively consult with the business at senior levels on top needs
    • Oversee data management controls and own data activities; partner with leads for data onboarding, data loading and ingestion, data quality and cleansing, and featurization
    • Oversee advanced analytics and data science modeling efforts, advise and provide direction to contributors from advanced analytics and data science for model evaluation, model assembly, and model training
    • Oversee development of new analytical capabilities and tools in coordination with business stakeholders and technical colleagues
    • Lead interpretation of impact analysis; oversee measurement capture and drive the synthesis and explanations for model outputs addressing top priority business questions
    • Lead operations of analytics modeling, health monitoring, and ongoing optimization

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Advanced Analytics and Data Science, or Business Administration with 5+ years of experience OR Master's Degree in any of these disciplines with 3+ years of experience.
  • Experience driving analytics strategy and bridging business context between senior-level business leads and analytics implementation teams
  • Previous experience overseeing teams of data engineering, data analysts, data scientists, and strategic partners (third-party organizations)
  • Strong knowledge and familiarity with pharmaceutical or MedTech Marketing, Medical, RWE, Safety and Regulatory functions
  • Strong knowledge of latest generation analytics tools and capabilities, including AI/Machine Learning technologies
  • Experience with the following technologies: Cloud platforms like AWS & Azure, Tableau, Power BI, Python, R & SQL

Additional Skills/Preferences

  • Experience implementing Adobe Analytics, Target, Experience Platform or similar
  • Strong knowledge and familiarity with agile concepts, ability to adopt and guide analytics teams adhering to Lilly’s organizational agile methodology
  • Strong track record leading and delivering complex cross-functional projects
  • Proven ability to rally resources to achieve project and business results
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with business acumen, and an ability to think strategically in an ambiguous environment
  • Candidates should be comfortable working in ambiguity/whitespace and in working in a fast-moving environment
  • Ability to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders at different levels, delivering insights and recommendations
  • Exceptional listening skills, with an ability to ask the right questions and uncover hidden insights
  • Ability to collaborate with strategists, consultants, creatives, and technologists
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal), storytelling, and interpersonal influencing skills and prioritization skills with attention to detail
  • Familiarity with CCPA and other data regulations
