Description:Reporting directly to the Director, Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure, this position will be responsible for end to end service delivery of all facets of the IT department in the RMS program/engineering lab and classified space.
In this position you will provide the strategy, leadership, and day-to-day management of program/engineering lab and classified teams and IT operations departments inclusive of on and off premise cloud infrastructure, software, hardware, networks, and security. You will partner with the Enterprise IT team and key vendors to ensure the successful delivery of hybrid multi-cloud services to RMS program/engineering labs and classified environments. You will assume responsibility and oversight of the entire network and system infrastructure across multiple Lockheed Martin and supplier locations ensuring proper configuration, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of IT systems. You will coordinate and direct all daily operational activities of these departments and provide direction and solutions that enhance mission-critical operations of the IT program/engineering labs and classified systems.
You'll aspire to modern, advanced, secured, and easy to use IT. Working with the Enterprise Classified IT Transformation team, you will implement OneLM IT initiatives such as utilizing the Government FENCES initiative (Classified Cloud), ICON Connection, and Platform One. You’ll work with the Enterprise Classified IT transformation team to identify and deploy cost effective standards across the full stack of technology for all programs, driving simplification of support and automation of deployments between environments.
The candidate must demonstrate exceptionally strong leadership and program management skills, having an ability to influence a cross-functional group towards a unified direction and having an ability to influence senior business leadership. They must also be a people person who inspires trust and confidence, enabling others to easily trust in their insights and judgments and readily follow their directives.
Other Responsibilities include:
• Understand and help guide strategic direction of our program/engineering lab and classified environment customers; team with peer senior managers to help shape direction and solution recommendations with program/engineering lab and classified customers and industry partners.
• Develop and maintain the strategic road map for program/engineering labs and classified IT, ensuring that information technology capabilities continually support the overall business’s goals and objectives.
• Establishment of operational and capital budgets in order to address the needs of various areas of the program/engineering lab and classified program IT support, for example, system infrastructure, security, networks, and databases.
• Develop key supplier partnerships to enable rapid deployment of new program/engineering lab and classified constructs, including cloud solutions.
• Closely team with Classified Cyber Security personnel, key Corporate Information Security (CIS), IT Business Partners, and business areas stakeholders on strategy and execution.
• Stay current on cloud capability and maintain strategy for leveraging cloud in program/engineering lab and classified environments.
• Develop staffing and training plan for program/engineering lab and classified skills sets to ensure certification requirements are met and a pipeline in place to maintain and share staffing needs across business.
• Integrate investments in emerging technology solutions with new service offerings.
• Build and maintain staffing of a high-performing team.
Preferred location is any major RMS site.
Willingness to Travel as required.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience in maintaining a production environment, and keeping it highly reliable, with knowledge of HA, DR, Continuous Monitoring, and automation.
• Experience developing stakeholder/partner relationships (Engineering, Cyber Security, RMS IT, Enterprise), ability to work across organizations to influence, coordinate and partner to meet the program/engineering lab and classified requirements of the RMS Business programs.
• Experience in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure) and modern infrastructure (OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Demonstrated experience working in classified environments, ensuring compliance with National Security programs and other government security regulations.
• Demonstrated technical knowledge and leadership in the infrastructure and IT security domains
• Demonstrated competence in managing enterprise-scale projects and ability to effectively influence and achieve cost, schedule and performance objectives.
• Current US DoD SECRET clearance and have the ability to qualify for potentially higher access levels to support this government program, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired Skills:
• Subject matter expert and technical authority in program/engineering lab and classified disciplines, including operations, logistics and sustainment, enterprise information technology
• Working experience in a senior IT or similar position within a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment
• Business experience, ideally in HW/SW intensive systems engineering design, Business Process Re-Engineering, Simulation Based Design/Manufacturing or business management
• Active Top Secret clearance.
