Abbott Medical is looking for a Jr. Sales Representative for the North of Spain (based in Basque Country)

Job Description

• This is a sales position where the individual is responsible for servicing the current

customer base, increasing sales within that base and establishing new accounts.

• Technical understanding of implantable cardiac rhythm management devices is key. Job includes operating room technical support on an ad hoc bases. But responsibility and priority is clearly sales generation.

• S/he will be responsible for effectively dealing with customer complaints and

recommending consignment in accounts where necessary.

Section 2:ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Achieve sales quota per plan by servicing the current customer base, increasing the sales

volume to that base and establishing new accounts.

• Has moderate authority to make sales commitments for assigned efforts and is accountable for results within established guidelines. May provide input to division-wide

sales standard s, practices, procedures and policies and/or tenders.

• Implement comprehensive sales plans to ensure increased market penetration and

establishing of new accounts.

• Technology advisor for Cardiac Rhythm Management Products.

• Technical support in Operating Room

• Develops and maintains a good understanding of Abbott Medical therapy(ies) and product(s).

• Prepares reports and drafts initial conclusions/basic analysis; and performs required

administrative sales duties, e.g., filing expense account reports, scheduling appointments,

and making travel plans.

• Maintain business operations in accordance with corporate policies in respect to pricing.

quotes, credit terms, expense reporting and Quality guidelines.

• Follow and share the best practices guidelines before and after the sales call.

• Develops knowledge/awareness of competition products.

• Act as Company ambassador at all times i.e. represent the Company in a professional

manner and with highest integrity while interacting with customers and assigned

institutions, physicians and technicians, customer purchasing and administration.

• Proactively plans weekly travel schedule and communicate this through the appropriate

channels in his/her country/division

• Apply the company Account Profiling system and ensure the following basic

information is incorporated in the accounts: people, their preferred behavioral styles.

volume of product, competitors, local politics, decision structure including decision

makers, needs, brief history, proposed minimum call frequency.

• Is responsible to comply with the H.C.P. guidelines.

Section 3: EDUCATION & COMPETENCIES

• Basic understanding of Abbott Medical (or similar) product lines and acquiring fair understanding of business, financials, products/services, the market and the needs of assigned accounts

• Bachelor's Degree or experience equivalent

• 3-5 years of successful sales experience within medical device industry

• Well organized and accustomed to tight deadlines.

• Excellent personal computer skills including MS Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point.

• Experience to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business

environment.

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills

• English knowledge, mainly for reading technical/clinical manuals and publications.

• Customer- and results- oriented, self-starter
