Providence is calling a Sr Business Analyst (Strategy, Days, 1.0 FTE) to Washington Montana Regional Services in Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.

In this position you will:

• Responsible for leveraging data systems and analysis to lead and support strategic initiatives that focus on sustainable growth, market share optimization, development of new programs and services, and other enterprise and service line priorities as outlined by local and regional strategic plans.
• Partners with Service Area Strategy & Business Development department, and other key enterprise and service line stakeholders to lead strategic data projects, data tracking, and analytics.
• Provides data analyses using tools including SPSS, Excel, Tableau and others as required.
• Leverages Epic Clarity, Enterprise Data Warehouse, and other enterprise data systems to develop queries from Epic Electronic Heath Record (EHR) and perform data analysis to address strategic and clinical business needs.
• Identify and access key data sources needed for new data projects, interacts with customers from all divisions of PH&S WA/MT and is responsive in providing data and ad hoc analyses. Presents information compiled for strategic and operational decision making.
• Communicate with internal business partners including different levels of management, physicians, and clinical staff to effectively translate strategic business requirements into technical terms and vice versa.
• Generates data and analyses in support of the WA/MT Planning Cycle, including market area and service line specific market size, market share and volume estimates, as well as analyses on price and cost, competition, payers and consumers.
• Ability to learn new databases/ methodologies individually, research and understand the data structure, then connect and extract data in a meaningful way.
• Consistently produces reliable, actionable information for decision-makers.
• Supports planning efforts (SFR, ISFP, etc.) with direction from local strategy leads.
• Assists with special projects as assigned by the Director.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare, Nursing or other clinical area
• 5 years of experience gathering, analyzing, and reporting data for a wide range of internal customers in various organizational areas.
• 5 years of proven experience managing projects
• 5 years of demonstrated expertise with complex data structures, including independent mining and data exploration, and utilizing business intelligence and data visualization software required (e.g. Tableau, SAP, Business Objects/Crystal Reports, Oracle BI EE, Toad, and MS SQLServer).

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

• Master's Degree in Business, Healthcare, or a related field
• 4 years of professional experience as a Clinical Analyst, including registries, Database Administrator and/or Planning Analyst or equivalent in a medium to large sized acute care hospital or health system.
