Job Description

Are you losing sleep over how to develop your team in a way that is going to help them hit targets and increase your conversion rate? Did you just finish a brainstorm session with marketing on potential upcoming campaigns? Do you get a kick out of helping your top rep close that whale and crushing the quarter? Are you waiting on a signature right now? Yup, we’re definitely looking for you!

At Clubhouse, we’re building project management software for software and product teams that people actually want to use - crazy right?!?!? Ask one of the engineers you know how they feel about Jira and you’ll understand why we think the market is so big. Already thousands of the fastest-growing software companies use Clubhouse to plan and build software, including Dataiku, Scale AI, FullStory, and LaunchDarkly.

We’re looking for a special individual who has a demonstrated ability to consistently deliver against ever-increasing revenue targets while hiring and developing some of the best sellers in the industry. This is more than just being a great seller or top-tier AE - we’re looking for someone who devours sales content and books and is always thinking about the next best method to achieve success. Our unicorn is part coach, part mentor, part closer, part evangelist and 100% closet process lover.

Salary Range: $200,000 to $300,000 USD on target earnings (OTE)

What You’ll Do:

  • Hire, coach, train, and develop a sales team focused on helping customers understand the value of Clubhouse and improve the purchase experience
  • Consistently extract the most from your team and deliver against revenue targets that always seem just a touch out of reach
  • Diligently split time and energy between acquiring new logos and expanding our existing customer base so as to maximize revenue growth
  • Accurately forecast the team’s performance and consistently dial in the accuracy of that forecast
  • Build strong relationships with marketing, product, and operations teams built on mutual trust and respect because you don’t chase the shiny object but regularly reflect the real and consistent needs of your team and customers
  • Develop a scalable method to onboard, train and grow sales teams using documentation, education, practice and role-play

What you need:

  • 8+ years in sales and 4+ years in sales management
  • Proven experience with a product-led-growth acquisition motion including trial support, free customer base mining and regular upsell to existing accounts
  • Consistent track record of beating your peers and overachieving the goals you’ve been given
  • Proven ability to thrive in an early stage GTM and sales organization where systems, processes, and technologies are still being developed
  • Intellectual curiosity for all things sales, marketing, SaaS, PLG and development tools
  • A GSD attitude and the willingness to quickly turn around an MVP and several iterations

What sets you apart from other applicants:

  • Fearlessness with a willingness to try new ideas, concepts, and be wrong (but definitely learn from the experience)
  • Experience selling, supporting, or using other project management tools like Jira, Trello, Asana, Monday, Clickup
  • Formal sales training through Winning by Design, Sandler, Challenger, etc.

Sound right up your alley? Want to learn more? So do we! Submit your credentials in whatever format you feel is best. But don’t stop there, give us a few reasons to really get excited about you - share your thoughts on:

  1. What’s the most important sales lesson you’ve learned in your career? Why is that one so important to you? How expensive was it?
  2. What’s the most interesting job that’s not on your resume? Why?
  3. What’s the last thing you learned that you really want to share? Where did you learn it and why do you want to share?

Not looking for a novel here - just hoping to add some color to an otherwise typically boring resume/LinkedIn profile. We want to get to know you!
