MMIC Design Group Lead

Job Description BAE Systems Microelectronics organization is looking for a highly motivated individual to lead a talented group of MMIC designers. The position requires a technical understanding of MMIC design such as broadband power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers and various control functions such as attenuators and switches operating in the microwave and mmW bands. Demonstrated experience in product development and successful launch is highly desired.
The individual must have excellent communication skills, and be able to provide mentoring to the designers as well as interface program management. Documentation, design metrics, and other methods to evaluate the design process will be a key responsibility of the MMIC Design Manager. The design manager will be responsible for continuous improvement activities, cycle time reduction, and plans to increase first pass design success. The individual will be responsible for meeting challenging MMIC design requirements on-time and on-budget.
Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status and the ability to obtain a secret clearance.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• BSEE
• Broad MMIC design experience
• Organizational leadership experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication experience
• Strong RF Systems Engineering background

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• MSEE or PhD
• Successful MMIC-based product design and launch experience
