Laborer (Firewatch) - 2nd Shift

This position is responsible for supporting Journeyperson in the accomplishing of production tasks; including but not limited to the use of small mechanical and hand tools, fire watch and/or cleaning. The qualifications and general capabilities listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability desired by the shipyard. This is an entry level position, with a potential to hire-on to a specific craft/trade if a position becomes available and you are able to meet the requirements for a helper level position.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Ability to work board Navy or commercial vessels.
Comprehend correspondence in Standard NAVSEA items written in English.
Be able to clearly communicate verbally to warn others of fire or other danger.
Ability to possess the skills required of a Fire Watch and carry a fire bottle, 5-10 lbs.
Must be able to obtain DBIDS.
