Position Description:
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a field-based medical affair professional with deep content knowledge about specific disease states, available products, and investigational compounds (both Lilly and competitor), as well as detailed knowledge about research, regulatory and medical education environments, and related processes. The MSL core activity is to engage with scientific experts and others in the medical community to understand external research/clinical needs, respond to unsolicited questions, and foster a two-way scientific dialogue. Scientific Experts are individuals who are noted for their expertise in a particular area and as a result, have special needs for in-depth and cutting edge information because they design and implement novel research, and educate colleagues and students. By providing answers and facilitating scientific exchange between industry and Scientific Expert community, MSL has the opportunity to improve patient outcomes by providing needed information that addresses important clinical and scientific questions.

Responsibilities:

Core Scientific Expert Engagement Activities:

• responding to ES requests;
• gathering, analyzing, and sharing clinical insights and scientific intelligence;
• facilitating research opportunities

Basic Qualifications:

• Degree in health care (Medicine, Biology, Biomedicine, Nutrition, Pharmacy or Nursing) with fellowship (or relevant clinical/therapeutic experience) in Oncology is required.
• Proficiency in written English (sufficient to read and understand procedures, training and medical literature)
• Strong interpersonal skills, including capability to engage in professional relationship building and networking
• Intellectual curiosity and intelligence about the field of science/medicine for which they are responsible
• Highly motivated and capable of comprehending large amounts of scientific content which is then communicated in a clear, concise fashion
• Significant direct experience in servicing customer needs for complex information
• Demonstrated success in self-managing priorities and multi-tasking projects
• Ability to work effectively and share information within a team environment
• Advanced presentation skills
• Expertise in literature identification and evaluation
• Familiarity with the academic community and the medical research and medical education process.

Additional Information:

• Domestic travel required.

Pré-Requisitios:

• É necessária graduação em curso da área da saúde (Medicina, Biologia, Biomedicina, Nutrição, Farmácia ou Enfermagem) com fellowship/ especialização (ou experiência clínica / terapêutica relevante) em Oncologia.
• Proficiência em inglês escrito (suficiente para ler e compreender procedimentos, treinamento e literatura médica)
• Fortes habilidades interpessoais, incluindo capacidade de se envolver na construção de relacionamentos profissionais e networking
• Curiosidade intelectual e inteligência sobre o campo da ciência / medicina pela qual são responsáveis
• Altamente motivado e capaz de compreender grandes quantidades de conteúdo científico que é então comunicado de forma clara e concisa
• Experiência direta significativa no atendimento às necessidades do cliente para informações complexas
• Sucesso demonstrado em prioridades de autogerenciamento e projetos multitarefas
