Job Description

What is the opportunity?

• OTC Derivative Trade & Sales Support rolls up to the Market & Business Services pillar within Business & Client Services.
• OTC Derivative Trade & Sales Support provides support services for businesses globally trading OTC Derivative products, Structured Products, and their hedges in line with operational procedures and the banks' standing orders.

What will you do?

• Ensure all daily tasks/controls are completed in line with the departmental PRIMA maps and procedures.
• Assist the Team Manager / Department Head on projects, process improvements, or new business initiatives as requested.
• Continue to develop product/market knowledge to ensure daily processes are appropriate to reduce operational risks.
• Escalate any unusual behaviour as well as any processing issues to the Team Manager or above in a timely manner following the Operations Escalation Policy.
• Understand and know how to locate central RBC policies.
• Ensure PRIMA maps and procedures are up to date and follow RBC Policies.
• Investigate any processing issues and recommend a course of action to the Team Manager. Once approved, assist in the execution of the proposed change.
• Support colleagues during busy periods by sharing workloads as applicable.
• Provide best in class client services to both internal and external clients by ensuring their queries are responded to within agreed timeframes

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Solid previous derivatives and/or structured notes middle office experience
  

Nice-to-have

• Can show relevant training/exams in industry-led courses in equity derivatives / structured notes.
  Relevant experience of RBC's trading platforms, Toms, Sophis, Murex, Rates Infinity
