JOB SUMMARY

The Source Inspection Engineer in the Supplier Quality team is responsible for conducting on-site components and assemblies receiving inspection and FAI (First Article Inspection) approval for multiple Collins BUs.

To be the initial point of the Collins Quality focal at supplier, confirm the quality of supplier’s products, monitor supplier quality management and conduct necessary workshop level audits.

Job Responsibilities

• Working at suppliers’ manufacture facility to conduct components and assemblies quality inspection, including cosmetic and dimension inspection by using necessary inspection instrument such as spectrometer, caliper and micrometer, etc.
• Verify the compliance of the documents against Collins Purchase order.
• Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) and FAI report approval per Collins and AS9102 requirements
• Complete inspection report in SAP system.
• Raise NCR (Nonconformity Report) in SAP system.
• Conduct traceability audit and QMS audit
• Write Inspection Instruction.
• Perform other related duties and special projects as required.

Requirements

• College or university degree in technical / engineering discipline.
• 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment and is familiar with aerospace industry experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100, AS9102 and quality system requirement.
• Working knowledge on drawing/spec interpretation and measurement tool selection & using (such as Micrometer, spectrometer, caliper etc.)
• Experience on quality system and product auditing. Qualified A9100 auditor is plus
• Ability to communicate (oral and written) effectively and professionally in both English and Mandarin
• Eyesight should be compliant with near vision requirements of Snellen 14/18, (20/25), Jaegar 2 at 14 inches, or Ortho−Rater 8. Color vision should meet requirement
• Be familiar with SAP is a plus
• Good communication skills, high-degree ethics and discipline.
• Be task oriented and a self-motivator with minimum supervision.
• Be good team player.
