And that's where you come in: At Instructure, our Project Managers are responsible for ensuring the success of projects related to customer implementations of Instructure products for organisations involved in education. The ideal candidate is effective in managing projects and people and is passionate about delivering the best customer experience. This role will be focused on ensuring our team, company and customer goals are met in a timely manner and therefore outstanding project management skills are a must.
What you will be doing:
- Be responsible for all key Project Management deliverables including but not limited to Project Scope Definition; Project Documentation, Reporting; Issues/Risks Management; and Stakeholder Management
- Ensure initiatives and goals are strategically aligned, the project has stakeholder support, and everyone is on the same page
- Effectively design and scope a complex project; be able to apply creative and innovative thinking to bring successful resolution to high-impact, complex challenges
- Coordinate efforts and communication across internal resources and third parties/vendors
- Ensure resource availability and allocation, and protect our resources from unnecessary work
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
- Ensure all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project
- Contribute to internal continuous improvement discussions by documenting, analyzing and sharing project feedback throughout assignments
Here is what you will need to know/have:
- PMI/ AIPM certification 5 or more years of experience with project management in an enterprise software (preferably SaaS) environment
- Demonstrated track record of successfully leading project across multiple products (often concurrently)
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation skills, both with technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven ability to work effectively, independently, and in a team-based environment
- Experience managing vendor partnerships
- Experience working with remote/distributed teams
- Impeccable attention to detail with a command of project management tools
Ideally, you’ll also know/have:
- PMP certificationPMI-ACP certification
- Requirements elicitation experience
- Knowledge of education technology industry
- Experience working with government agencies
- Project management experience in Australia
