Market Job Description
We are looking for someone interested in pursuing a career in commercial lending for a 12 month internship based out of Mississauga. The role will have exposure to different aspects of the commercial lending space (business-to-business lending). You will have the opportunity to organize key business initiatives, build and track commercial metrics for internal and external stakeholders. You will be also be planning and executing tactical activities and projects that directly support the implementation and optimization of efforts to grow sales/revenue/profit/market share in the Distribution Finance business. You will be responsible for collaborating with the marketing team to execute marketing campaigns and create solutions to strengthen vendor engagement. They will have the opportunity to work closely with commercial VPs, territory managers, as well as the finance and pricing teams.
The Commercial Lending intern will be comfortable building relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels and functions within the organization, able to work independently and collaboratively on deals and projects, and have a strong aptitude in finance and Microsoft office suite. Most importantly, you are interested in new opportunities for learning and have a passion to work in the commercial lending space.
The Commercial Lending intern will:
- Establish relationships with various Wells Fargo sales and functional groups to execute programs to achieve market penetration, service and profitability goals
- Maintain/develop knowledge of product and delivery channels, participate in defining and tracking sales goals and metrics
- Assist in generating executive review presentations for top management to meet with directors and CEO’s of program partnerships, by leveraging modern data visualization solutions
- Leverage technology to simplify internal processes while working with metrics and dashboards
- Monitor the integrity and accuracy of captured customer data; perform data governance and stewardship activities
- Support product research and development according to market trends and vendor demands
- Generate and execute appropriate communications, processes and sales training
- Aid in establishing strategies for the sales team members to create efficiency and market penetration including incentive programs and vendor rebate programs

Market Skills and Certifications
Minimum requirements:- Working towards the completion of a Bachelor of Commerce degree
- Possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with strong IT acumen : Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; process-oriented, with strong attention to detail
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proactive, self-starter, independent worker with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work within cross-functional teams and interact with other groups to achieve company and department objectives
- Possess strong collaboration skills with ability to work independently
Preferred skill:- Bilingual (French and English)
- Qlikview, SQL and Sales Force
