Bumble is looking for a flexible, culture-centric and proactive HR Business Partner to join our growing team. Based in London, you will be responsible for solving complex organisational challenges with people-related solutions. You will work closely with managers and senior leaders to coach, challenge and support them as our business continues to evolve and scale. This role will report to the Senior HR Business Partner, with an initial focus on partnering with our Product team as well as some or all of the following: Business Intelligence, Community Operations, Safety, Research. Bumble is growing fast, so the ideal candidate will be flexible and open to an evolving scope of work, with experience in handling international employment across multiple territories.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers and senior leaders in the Product team as well as some or all of the following: Business Intelligence, Community Operations, Safety, Research
- Working closely with the wider HR Business Partnering team in the UK and US to provide support across other functional teams and geographies as required
- Develop positive working relationships across the organisation in order to anticipate people-related needs, proactively address pain points, and ensure a workplace where everyone can contribute and thrive.
- Work on a wide range of strategic people-related matters and projects including team structure and optimisation, employee engagement and retention, organisational culture and change management
- Facilitate a learning and growth environment; share best practices, stay up to date with current organisational research and roll out centralised/localised learning & development initiatives
- Lead on employee relations issues, both formal and informal
- Collaborate with the Compensation & Benefits team to research and advise on salary benchmarking, pay bandings and other reward mechanisms
- Provide pragmatic advice to line managers on the implementation of all people policies; collaborate with the HR Business Partnering team in London to design globally vs. locally relevant policies where appropriate.
- Oversee performance management processes and initiatives; collaborate with the wider People & Culture team to design and implement new performance management workflows as part of our Workday rollout
- Work with our DEI Center of Excellence to drive local and global DEI plans
EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Significant experience in HR Business Partner and/or other relevant roles, in a progressive, high growth environment
- The ideal candidate will have experience in startup and scaleup organisations (+ additional experience in a larger organisation would be a bonus); in particular we are seeking someone who is comfortable solving problems and delivering projects autonomously as part of a small HR team
- Experience in working in technology companies, ideally in a B2C environment
- Experience working in global organisations, specifically across Europe plus ideally some experience with US / APAC / LATAM
- Accustomed to working closely with senior leaders as a strategic thought partner, with the ability to influence and challenge when needed
- Solid knowledge of UK employee relations processes and relevant employment legislation (additional experience or knowledge of other countries a bonus)
- Thought leadership and wide knowledge of organisational culture and development topics
- Tech-savvy and comfortable with various types of HR Software (Applicant Tracking, HRIS, Performance Management, LMS, etc.). Workday Preferred
- Adept at working with data and spreadsheets including pivot tables, lookups, etc.
