Job Description:

We are looking for a dynamic, energetic Technical Program Manager with experience in FPGA (or ASIC) development and management. The position is in an industry-leading, world-class Software and AI development organization that is engaged in high performance and ease of use solutions using cutting-edge programming technology. The candidate for this position must have prior experience managing an FPGA or ASIC software and/or AI development projects from architecture definition through production. A good understanding of all the phases of software development from software architecture, design verification, tapeout, silicon validation to SW and AI stacks is necessary. The candidate must be a self-starter with excellent project planning and management skills in the areas of work estimation, schedule planning, and milestone tracking using dashboards and metrics. Strong judgment is expected in assessing and managing risks and key dependencies.

A knowledge of related areas like Silicon Technology, Package, Signal/Power Integrity and Test & Measurement, etc. is a plus. The candidate must have excellent organization and communication skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate, energize and drive teams.

Responsibilities:

This position requires hands-on work and coordination of all end to end project deliverables for many of our next gen SW product. This is a high visibility but demanding scope spanning across multiple HW and SW teams and organizations within Xilinx. The individual will have to work closely with the broader program management team members in different geographies. The candidate will be responsible for tracking program milestones, setting up and managing key performance indicators and delivering goals to target. The candidate will have to identify and drive both strategic and tactical issues, technical or otherwise, to resolution, understand the impact of the issues on the overall program, and make some independent decisions for the right trade-offs.

Other expectations of this role and not limited to are the ability to implement program management methodologies and working very well in a team setting. Ability to influence positively and build relationships across cross functional organizations is necessary.

Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field with 5+ years of relevant industry experience or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related equivalent field with 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience with Program Management in the semiconductor industry
• FPGA (or ASIC) software development experience
• Proven track record managing delivery of FPGA (or ASIC) products with strong understanding of design life cycles and various phases of SW development
• Experience driving cross functional deliverables across multiple organizations, including global organizations with good presentation skills
• Familiarity/experience with project management tools like Confluence pages, JIRA dashboards
