Who You’ll Be Working With:

New Century Health (NCH) is looking for a Senior Analyst of Strategic Finance to join our team of Finance professionals working to advance NCH’s growth mission. This role reports to NCH’s Senior Director of Strategic Finance & Corporate Development and is part of NCH’s Chief Financial Officer’s organization; the team is an integral part of both the NCH team and the broader Evolent Finance team. The Senior Analyst will contribute to critical Finance team functions, including FP&A with a focus on new business / forecasting, and responsibility for producing NCH’s monthly, quarterly, and annual financial packages / reports. The position will provide NCH’s leadership team with data-driven financial and operational analyses to inform strategic decision-making, including pricing, forecasting, and areas of future investment. This individual will support Finance components of cross-functional projects, collaborating with teammates from other NCH departments, including Operations, Go-to-Market, Analytics, and Product & Strategy. NCH’s Finance team not only works closely with other departments across NCH, but also partners with Evolent Corporate departments including Accounting, Legal, and Talent.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Reporting (FP&A) –

  • Maintain the NCH forecast model and prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and multi-year forecasts
  • Collaborate with other Finance team members and internal subject matter experts to drive financial forecasting accuracy
  • Produce NCH financial packages / reports
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process and corporate planning, with a focus on new business
  • Maintain and further customize our FP&A software, and identify and implement other process automation initiatives
  • Continuously seek to improve our financial models as the business evolves and the customer base and product offerings expand

Strategic Decision-Making Support –

  • Produce summary financial materials including monthly and quarterly financial summaries and any ad hoc materials (e.g., Board materials) as needed
  • Summarize key business metrics and KPIs to track drivers of financial health
  • Maintain existing standard models (e.g., pricing, cost allocations, staffing) to drive consistency, accuracy, and scalability across our business
  • Contribute to development of financial models / materials as part of special projects, including finance and business development initiatives (e.g., new investments, M&A)

The Experience You’ll Need (Required):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative field
  • 2-3 years of experience as an Analyst or Associate in corporate finance (FP&A), investment banking, or other Finance role with substantial financial modeling experience
  • Extensive experience using Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work independently and manage time across multiple work streams and stakeholders
  • Extraordinarily detail oriented and focus on accuracy
  • Exceptionally strong analytical abilities, with a track record of identifying insights from financial information and translating into business analytics and recommendations

Finishing Touches (Preferred):

  • Experience with Adaptive Insights
  • Experience in or exposure to the healthcare space, pricing, M&A, and / or operational analytics

Technical requirements:

Currently, Evolent employees work remotely temporarily due to COVID-19. As such, we require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 MBPS and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.
