Overview

This is a strategic sales leader role for the Legal and Tax Professional sales segments in Korea. This role will be responsible for delivering high growth of Thomson Reuters propositions/portfolios to the legal and tax services market including LawnB, Westlaw, and Practical Law. The incumbent will also be responsible for leading a junior sales specialist to win new business, ensure high retention and increase revenue through upsell and cross-sell.

About the Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Meet or exceed annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts
  • Be able to achieve and exceed company and personal sales activity goals through excellent communication and negotiations
  • Develop strategic sales plans based on company goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization
  • Establish trusted relationship with clients as well as relevant internal & external stake holders
  • Be able to collaborate with key stakeholders to maximize the revenue growth
  • Work closely with the Country Director to ensure that the cross functional teams are executing well against company goals and client expectation
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
  • Understand market landscapes and trends
  • Provide regular forecasting and reporting on all key information
  • Ensure all records are up-to-date, key metrics are met and forecasting is accurate and reliable
  • Manage a junior sales specialist onboarding, coaching and development needs to maximize the performance

About You

You’ll be a good fit for the role if you have:

  • At least 10 years of related experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Excellent Korean and English
  • Demonstrated successful sales experience with excellent track record
  • Previous sales leadership experience or has aspiration to become a sales leader
  • Knowledge of the legal and tax market in Korea (preferred but not a must)
  • Proven ability to deliver results through use of key sales and revenue metrics
  • Proven ability to work well in a matrix environment, collaborate across multiple departments/organizations and influence at all levels
  • Ability to build relationships, influence and gain resource from across the organization
  • Ability to motivate, coach and mentor in a sales environment
  • Strong presentation, communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and deal structure skills
  • High ethics, integrity and very self-motivated.
