The technical support team in Ahmedabad provides techno-functional support for the HighQ Collaborate & Publisher platforms. The team closely works with overseas client support, operations and inhouse development teams in order to serve our large customers base.
We are looking for an Application Support Engineer who is highly motivated, innovative and detailed oriented individual & ready to make an impact by providing enterprise-level assistance to our customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong software troubleshooting skills, organization, oral and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
· Liaise with client support, operations & development team in order to provide techno-functional support of the product
· Analyze assigned tickets, make initial investigations, and prioritize appropriately within a dynamic workload
· Investigate and troubleshoot application related issues raised by the users/clients & executes work arounds
· Engages others as appropriate and escalates as required for resolution of any product bugs
· Monitors and tracks all assigned tickets, provides tickets status updates at regular intervals for relevant stakeholders
· Collaborate in catchup sessions with team members
REQUIREMENTS:
Education
A bachelor degree in computer science or a related field is required
Knowledge and skills
· Application Technical debugging/troubleshooting/support experience
· Ability to understand & analyse written application code and server logs for error interpretation
· Understand & write custom SQL scripts for investigation & custom reporting requirements
· Proven issue troubleshooting skills with attention to detail
· Strong organizational & effective written-verbal communication skills
· Candidate must be flexible working in shift between 8 AM to 11 PM IST
Candidates should possess:
· 1+ years of proven work experience as a Application Support Engineer, Technical Support Engineer or similar role
· 1+ background in software troubleshooting with Java technologies
· 1+ years working with relational database such as SQL Server
· Strong understanding of J2EE web framework-based development & REST API
· Familiarity with remote desktop applications and ticketing software (eg. Jira, Zendesk)
· Understanding of software technical support/maintenance process
Desired qualifications
· Technical understanding with web frameworks such as Struts2/Spring
· Knowledge of web technologies, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, XML
· Understanding of Apache & Tomcat Server
· Understanding of software build process using tools such as Ant, Gradle, etc.
· Basic understanding of source version control tools such as GIT, SVN, etc.
