This team is responsible for the Wells Fargo Foundation, community relations, impact investing, and integrating sustainability, human rights, social justice, and equity considerations throughout the company.

Reporting to the Head of Sustainability and ESG Integration, the Senior Analyst, Climate-Aligned Finance position will be a member of Wells Fargo’s Institute for Sustainable Finance. This role will play a critical role in providing the analysis required for the Institute to deliver on Wells Fargo’s $500 billion sustainable finance commitment, develop related educational content, enhance public policy and advocacy engagement, and create thought leadership opportunities.

The preferred location for this position is in Charlotte, NC; Minneapolis, MN; Phoenix, AZ; St. Louis, MO; Dallas, TX; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Washington, DC. Other Wells Fargo locations may be considered.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Provide analytical support to the Institute for Sustainable Finance to maintain and enhance the tracking of Wells Fargo’s $500 billion sustainable finance commitment.
  • Establish sustainable finance dashboards for internal business partners’ ongoing tracking as well as external reporting purposes.
  • Develop dynamic visual presentations, delivering bespoke research and analysis to support sectoral engagement, or managing data requests for internal or external stakeholders, among other duties.
  • Grasp disparate ideas from a wide variety of information and data sources, make sense of the information by seeing the big picture, and rapidly and succinctly present that information to a wide variety of audiences, including senior management.
  • Understand the current state of play for sustainable finance and develop insights on how the field will continue to grow and expand over time.
  • Offer sustainable finance expertise to colleagues, using critical tools and resources seamlessly, in a timely manner.

Salary range is determined by the location of the job
The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

MN-Minneapolis: Min: $87,500 Mid: $125,000 Max: $162,500
AZ-PHX-Central Phoenix: Min: $87,500 Mid: $125,000 Max: $162,500
DC-Washington: Min: $96,300 Mid: $137,500 Max: $178,800
NY-New York: Min: $105,000 Mid: $150,000 Max: $195,000
CA-SF-Financial District: Min: $105,000 Mid: $150,000 Max: $195,000
TX-DAL-Downtown Dallas: Min: $87,500 Mid: $125,000 Max: $162,500
NC-Charlotte: Min: $87,500 Mid: $125,000 Max: $162,500
MO-Saint Louis: Min: $87,500 Mid: $125,000 Max: $162,500

May be considered for a discretionary bonus.


Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of community development or sustainability experience


Other Desired Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience using data visualization to develop executive presentations
  • Demonstrated experience with sustainable finance data and research
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and successfully influence a wide variety of partners, including private sector executives, with competing interests and varying levels of sustainability and climate knowledge
  • Demonstrated analytical capability, ideally including visualization capability such as Tableau

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
