Market Job Description


Responsibilities:


  • Syndicate execution of all active book-running deals; monitoring book-builds, participating in reconciliation calls with other syndicates and close interaction with European sales teams.
  • Verifying and processing all sales tickets and associated hedges intraday to minimize risk.
  • Transaction Management on all EMEA led deals; drafting deal notifications, collating and filing all deal documents, approvals and credit memo’s in a closed deal file.
  • Extensive contribution in all aspects of the deal lifecycle from onboarding, managing MNPI, P&L reporting, settlement and expense invoicing.
  • Central point of contact for multiple teams including Sales, Compliance, Legal, Control Room, Deal Committees, Onboarding and Operations teams.
  • Wide ranging project work to help grow the EMEA DCM business such as Post Brexit workflows, ticket automation, increasing local settlement capability and streamlining deal execution and approval.
  • Fulfilling regulatory reporting for the desk including MiFID II disclosures and Bank of Italy
  • Ad hoc support for EMEA DCM team such as producing pitch materials, weekly pricings and market commentary emails for internal and external distribution.

Market Skills and Certifications


  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A keen interest in banking and finance and a basic understanding of Debt Capital Markets.
  • A strong work ethic and pro-active attitude
  • Analytical with a very good eye for detail
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Good knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel and Bloomberg would be beneficial.
