The Operations Accountant 1 is responsible for processing the 1st Pass Cash within the remittance team. Reviews customer transactions and/or financials for accurate posting to our receivable system utilizing the Wells Fargo Commercial Electronic Office tools like Receivable Manger repair. Reviewing and processing Resale dispositions while collaborating with our internal Equipment Management Group.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

• 2+ years of bookkeeping experience; or 1+ year of accounting experience or operational accounting experience demonstrated through work or military experience

• Accounts receivable or accounts payable experience
• Financial services experience
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Solid problem solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
• Strong analytical skills
