Market Job Description
Corporate Banking provides financial services to UK & European companies with business presence in the US and US Wells Fargo customers that have international business.
Key Responsibilities will include developing and managing banking relationships with high quality UK multi-nationals.
(Note: In addition to these functions employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required)
Responsibilities:
•Focused on Large Corporate Banking relationship management. Duties include: originating, structuring, and executing transactions related to investment banking, traditional corporate lending and/or other related products.
•Representing the bank in developing and maintaining a portfolio of client relationships
•Actively participating and supporting Managing Directors in the completion of major transactions for the most critical/complex clients
•Completion of new credit reports, negotiating and closing loan documentation (with support from Portfolio Management where appropriate).
•Manage credit discussions with Independent Risk Management.
•Build relationships with and work across multiple business lines/solution teams to broaden client / bank interaction
•Develop and implement strategic relationship plans for customers, including maximizing returns for bank capital and supporting and directing subsidiary bankers in positioning Wells Fargo for revenue opportunities which fit the business strategy
•Actively contribute to Wells Fargo’s transformation by doing what’s right, doing it well and leading with an enterprise mindset.
•Understand local and international risk and control, ensuring effective early identification of issues are appropriately socialised and addressed.
Market Skills and Certifications
Skills/Experience Required:
• Degree educated.
• Demonstrable experience as a Relationship Manager with a major financial institution, including experience in the UK banking market.
• Understanding of corporate banking products, services and credit structures.
• Comfortable interacting with Treasurers and other senior management at client companies.
• Solid credit underwriting experience with multinational corporate clients
• Experience originating, structuring, and executing complex transactions with multinational corporate clients.
• Working knowledge of product areas including Treasury Management, Debt Capital Markets, Loan Syndication, Interest Rate, Foreign Exchange and Commodity Risk management.
• Team player.
• High level integrity.
• Expected travel 40%+.
