The Chief Operating Office (COO) is responsible for delivering a more consistent approach to business operations across Wells Fargo, strengthening the company’s risk and control infrastructure, and delivering effective and efficient enterprise services to employees and customers.

The COO group includes the head of Operations, who is jointly responsible for line of business operations with each of the five LOB CEOs. Operations functions include contact center operations, client servicing support, money movements within our businesses, lending operations, and other functions.

The COO group also includes a number of teams dedicated to strengthening Wells Fargo’s risk and control infrastructure. These include the Control Executive team; Regulatory and Policy Affairs; Enterprise Customer Excellence; Sales Practices Oversight and Management; and Strategic Execution and Operations.

The Chief Administrative Office, encompassing the Corporate Properties Group; Corporate Security; Enterprise Business Resiliency; Strategic Programs and Process Improvement; Enterprise Change Management; Supply Chain Management; and Data Management and Insights, delivers important services for our employees and customers.

The Customer Remediation Center of Excellence Reporting & Analytics team is hiring an Analytic Consultant to support reporting and analytics need for multiple customer remediations. Reporting & Analytics team provides Exploratory, Diagnostics and Predictive analytics need for high profile remediation projects across multiple LOBs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Understand business needs, provide analytic solutions and communicate results to business partners
  • Design custom Analytic solutions as needed
  • Perform and test highly complex data analytics for customer remediations
  • Conduct in-depth research within complex data environments to identify data integrity issues, and propose solutions to improve analysis accuracy
  • Ensures adherence to data management/data governance regulations and policies
  • Ability to learn other analytic tools on their own
  • Must have a strong attention to detail and be able to meet high quality standards consistently
  • Other duties as assigned by manager
  • Willing to assist on high priority work outside of regular business hours or weekend as needed

In addition to a demonstrated ability using and coaching for analytic programming languages, the ideal candidate should possess a natural analytic curiosity and be able to apply critical evaluation to challenge assumptions, formulate a defensible hypothesis, and ensuring high quality analysis results.


Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling demonstrated through work or military experience; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling
  • 4+ years of SQL or SAS experience
  • 3+ years of experience creating pivot tables and performing data analysis in Excel


Desired Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills
  • 2+ years of Tableau experience
  • 1+ year of JIRA experience
  • 2+ years of Python experience
  • 1+ year of Customer Remediation experience
  • Experience in gathering, analyzing and interpreting large datasets
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important


Other Desired Qualifications
  • 4+ years’ experience with Oracle, SQL Server or Teradata database environments
  • Expertise in data profiling and research
  • Experience in historical data analysis, customer remediation, or regulatory reporting
  • Knowledge and understanding of consumer lending data and analytics
