Our Team develops and sells Akamai’s carrier network security products to fixed and mobile network service providers. We specialize in delivering highly scalable network infrastructure and access-based security products to our customers. We collaborate with product groups, external partners to enable our customers to provide high-quality, secure internet and network access to their end-users.

As a Data Analyst, you will provide the insights to aid the data science team’s detection. You will be analyzing and extracting meaningful insight from network-based data, and see your insight practically applied. You will apply analytical skills with statistical analysis to derive actionable insight from large volumes of data that will meet our customers’ expectation.

As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for:

• Working with a team of data scientists to collect and analyze data
• Establishing KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions
• Working with a team of data scientists to collect and analyze data
• Structuring large data sets to find usable information
• Using graphs, infographics and other methods to visualize data
• Creating presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings for internal teams and/or external clients

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have experience with data analysis with Python using Pandas, Jupyter Notebook, and/or PySpark, SQL
• Display problem solving skills
• Be able to analyze data, provide actionable solutions
• Be knowledgeable about data gathering, cleaning and transforming techniques
• Possess Reporting and data visualization skills using software like Grafana, Tableau or PowerBI
• Have understanding of data warehousing and ETL techniques
• Be proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Have great written/verbal communication skills
