Taboola is looking for a Data Scientist to join the founding team of a new initiative in formation to help drive it’s growth with data. The ideal candidate is a versatile critical-thinker that would be thrilled by the possibility of having access to vast amounts of user data made available by Taboola’s massive reach. She would be able to combine an intuitive understanding of the emotional and rational mindset of web consumers with disciplined quantitative analysis and extract meaningful knowledge that would drive the efforts of the entire team. She would be passionate about creating an impact with her ideas.

What are some of the things you do on a day-to-day basis?

• Be an essential member of a strong multidisciplinary team that operates as an independent startup in a well established company.
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of our vast unique dataset, conceptualize ideas, strategies and statistical models to drive our business results.
• Work closely with the development team to implement your ideas, measure their performance and optimize their business results.

What are the skills a good Data Scientist needs to have?

• BSc or equivalent related experience in scientific fields (related to mathematics, statistics and/or data sciences). MSC – an advantage.
• Can demonstrate a foundation in big data quantitative analysis, statistical modeling, data visualization and machine learning techniques and experience applying them into real world problems.
• Advantage - Knowledge/Experience with internet online advertising. Familiarity with any of the following: Online advertising platforms, A/B testing, Affiliate Marketing, Real Time Bidding, Data Management Platforms, SEO.
• Coding experience in Python and strong knowledge in SQL.
• Startup mentality, team player, Enthusiastic about working in a fast paced startup environment closely following business results.
