Providence is calling a Pharmacist (Pharmacy, Variable, 0.0 FTE) to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.

In this position you will:

• Assess patient drug therapy needs.
• Check for appropriate therapeutic use, appropriate dosage, duplicates, allergies, drug interactions, order changes and contraindications.
• Counsel patients concerning appropriate use and possible adverse events from their medications.
• Provide staff development for techs or pharmacists in area of interest.
• Take an active role in process improvement or other quality initiatives.
• Disseminate patient-care related information to healthcare team members as needed.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

• Licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of Montana
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from the following authorized governing bodies: American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider), American Red Cross (ARC) - (BLS for Health Care Provider), or Military Training Network (MTN) – (Healthcare Provider) upon hire

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
• PharmD in Pharmacy
• Prior hospital pharmacy / residency experience
• Pharmacotherapy Specialty board certification
