Job Description

Job Description

As an employee at Thomson Reuters, you will play a role in shaping and leading the global knowledge economy. Our technology drives global markets and helps professionals around the world make decisions that matter. Whether solving for today’s challenges or tomorrow’s aspirations, you will work with the industry’s brightest thinkers on diverse projects, creating next-generation solutions that deliver powerful results. As the world’s leading provider of intelligent information, we want your unique perspective to create the solutions that advance our business—and your career.

Are you ready to help bring a product vision into reality for one of the world’s most trusted brands? Come join Thomson Reuters’ Accounting & Tax Practice group as a Senior Product Manager for Onvio, Thomson Reuters’ newest global platform serving public accounting & tax professionals around the world. With a product team based in both the U.S. and around the globe, the collaboration will be key to this role, and equally important will be focusing those collaborative energies to research, build, and launch a product from end-to-end for U.S.-based advisory professionals in 2021, which will be the primary focus of the person assuming this role. The business will measure success in this role by the candidate’s ability to deliver ongoing, in-depth, and insightful customer research and their ability to turn those insights into consistently compelling product releases.

About the Role

As a Senior Product Manager, you will:

  • Learn Your Market – immerse yourself in the day-to-day workflows of our target customers and their needs, regularly interacting with them, scheduling observational workshops, etc. and become the person primarily responsible for representing the needs and perspective of that customer market, internally (in this case, advisory professionals).
  • Own the Roadmap – assume primary ownership of the Onvio Advisory product roadmap, acting as “designated decider” regarding trade-offs, delays, etc. on a release-by-release basis.
  • Direct Go-to-Market Activities – act as primary liaison with Outbound Marketing to design and execute on go-to-market collateral and programs.
  • Assist Strategic & Financial Planning – work with leadership to set a budget and projected amounts for the product and communicate progress to those milestones regularly.
  • Be a Team Player – support customer-facing teams on an as-needed basis to assist in new sales and retention activities while always looking for ways to support those channels more broadly (and more proactively) rather than only supporting individual customers.
  • Be Curious & Innovative – continuously update yourself with next-generation technology, development tools, and contribute to process development practices
  • Be an Agile Person – with a strong sense of urgency and a desire to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment to deliver solutions against strict timelines
  • Be an Effective Communicator – articulate complex technical issues, and share ideas, participate in peer reviews, and exhibit strong listening skills

About You

You’re a fit for the role of a Senior Manager, Accounting & tax Practice if you have:

  • At least 2-5 years performing end-to-end lifecycle product management for one or more technology products
  • Domain expertise in the Tax & Accounting and/or FinTech domains
  • Expert guidance on strategy, design, business requirements, feature and functionality tradeoffs, and release schedule for a proposition, set of propositions, products, or services.
  • Worked closely with the client team to gather and prioritize client feedback to drive innovation and increase client adoption and retention.
  • Supported commercial facing teams in client engagement and retention activities
  • Developed and executed plans to sunset obsolete products and services

What’s in it For You :

You will join our inclusive culture of world-class talent, where we are committed to your personal and professional growth through:

  • COVID-19 Response: Currently working remotely and following local COVID-19 bylaws and guidelines with most of our offices being remote until July 2021. Upon return, we will be embracing a hybrid work environment consisting of in-office and remote work
  • Culture: Globally recognized and award-winning reputation for equality, diversity and inclusion, flexibility, work-life balance, and more
  • Wellbeing: Comprehensive benefit plans; company-wide Mental Health Day Off; Headspace app subscription; retirement, savings, tuition reimbursement, and employee incentive programs; resources for mental, physical, and financial wellbeing
  • Learning & Development: LinkedIn Learning access; internal Talent Marketplace with opportunities to work on projects cross-company; Ten Thousand Coffees Thomson Reuters café networking
  • Social Impact: Eight employee-driven Business Resource Groups; two paid volunteer days annually; Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives for local and global impact
